Feature 227--Karren-san

Considering this is a cat, I wonder how much trouble it can get into in an hour? Goodness knows that our housecats can invent issues when they're bored! So what kind of issues can this guy come up with? And in the perfect scene, there is absolutely no one that could accuse this one even if said issue helps cause some kind of actual trouble.
It would be absolutely great!

An OC that belongs to a friend of Karren-san. In my opinion, I really think the character was treated so very well. Loving the paint and the clothing this fellow is wearing...considering some of his tags, I wonder what kind of show he would live in?
Those wings are so fun too. Their size makes me imagine that he could change the size to a degree to help him fly when necessary--at least it's fun to think so!

This is such a pretty coloration! Opal is certainly what I see here and it's absolutely gorgeous; I wonder how hard it was to paint? And just look at how well the pillbug was designed! Looks exactly like the ones I've picked up and held. Since this one is opal like in color, does that mean it's a main character in some story or other? I could just imagine it...
Aside from my silly question, this is a very nice piece!

Had a lot of fun with this feature since Karren-san has done such a lovely job with these pieces! The gallery is here if you would like to see their other works!

Feature 226--ArcencielDigitalArt

New Adventures

I love this scene; it's dark as if nighttime and that opening just promises new things to get into like good adventure games. And just look at those gears near the trees. Do they help the trees in some way or is it more the location just showing off what is behind the door can do? And the walk path lit by the poles on both sides of it just helps to add to what mystery we're being invited to!
Super work done in this piece; excellent control of the 3D tools used with this. I never do understand how these work, so all of it is amazing!

A New Home

Even more gears! This location must be in a similar world as the first one. And I enjoy imagining a character splashing through the water here, doing everything they can to not attract what animals might be in the area. Or maybe not, since I notice the house in the back has a boat. Maybe it's safe during some hours so the person that lives there can catch some fish to cook and eat?
It's so fun to imagine stories for this kind of artwork. Excellent work done!

The Artist's Gallery

It would be amazing to get to enter this library just for the sake of reading by its lights! I like to imagine that the Artist in question may have created that statue at the back; just because it fits so perfectly as a light source. And I just adore those columns with them being created by a dark wood or stone, with the gold like color wrapped around.
Just look at those sofas too! They're perfect to just snuggle up with a book and a hot drink to sip on. Excellent job done with this piece!

All three of these pieces are amazing and if you go to ArcencielDigitalArt's gallery, you can find even more of these 3D pieces! Do enjoy!

Feature 225--InHKnl

Mask

I really enjoy the glow at the bottom climbing up the character, as if he's being lit in the perfect way to get detail on the fabric he's wearing. And the way it goes from red to black up to a dull gray light at the top is really fun, too. I have a question about his fingers...are the things covering them a protection or more like a set of claws to use if someone got far too close?
Isn't the red inside the coat's neck glowing quite perfectly with the characters ice blue eyes? I really enjoy this piece! Excellent work!

Makima Train

The first thing I was drawn to on this image is the eyes and how the background looks as the train's just gliding along. Her eyes are gorgeous, in my opinion, and the color helps me be able to see her nose and down to her mouth; which are also quite well done. It also doesn't escape me how well the sunlight is on her hair. The color and shadows on it looks like I could just run my fingers through! (Provided she'd let me, course. She looks tired.)
Poor lady looks like she's about to fall asleep, if she could lean on that window. Either going to work or finally getting away from it, maybe? Whichever way, this piece is very well done and is just begging for a story to be told.

Whisky at the bar

Drawing this image from the hip is super well done and fits the design perfectly! I hope that it's safe enough in the area to allow someone like the woman in focus to actually enjoy her drink. (Or maybe it is safe because she's more busy enjoying her drink instead of having to deal with or create trouble?)
It would be wrong to not mention the detail on the barstools. And I wonder what else this bar sells? Just look at the boxes behind her on the shelves!
Really enjoy this piece, lovely work!

These pieces are some excellent work and I enjoyed seeing them! If you want to see more of their artwork, InHKnl's gallery is here!

Feature 224--MeganDrawsaLot

Fox Fire

First, I love the background our fox/kitsune is in. We can just see the magics all around her in that cloud she's in. I also love the way that MeganDrawsaLot managed to get the fur and ears on this kitsune. Is her hand a paw behind her head? It would fit perfectly!
Those clothes that Megan put on her makes it work perfectly too. Everything sets off lovely and I feel like it's some great work. Lovely job!

Star Goddess

I love pen and pencil work! The darkness of space behind her and the brightness of the moon and the magic coming from her staff. And let's just look at the space woman. It's so fun how her halos seem to be just spaces on the moon, at least to me! That suit is also adorable; I personally enjoy the little 'wings' of the dress. It just fits so well that it's floating in the weightlessness in space!
Love this piece entirely.

Nine Tailed Goddess

A nine tailed kitsune! That means that she's supposed to be quite powerful, doesn't it? Either way, I really enjoy how Megan set this up! No wonder this one is a goddess! I personally love how the yellow touches in the red like it is and she's done a lovely job in letting us see her character so easily against those tails.
But oh my gosh those eyes are gorgeous! I also enjoy how her makeup has been done, the lipstick is beautiful and I think I'm in love with those dots on her cheeks, below her eyes. Excellent work here!

These pieces are just perfect for this feature; certainly go through MeganDrawsaLot's gallery! You'll definitely enjoy yourself!~

Feature 212--ArtofLotu

Caution: Be aware this artist's work is a bit creepy in its style. If you're not in the mental state to see this, please wait until the next feature. Thank you.

POWER

I do really love how this character is stepping up on that hammer. I like to imagine that they had crushed the creature that was using it, so this is a whole 'come at me!' pose until they start attacking the next one that goes after them. XD
Wonder what kind of area this character lives in? Are they small enough to be in the insect section of the ground or are they in one of the many layers of their hellish landscape? This design seems to work either way and I just love it!

Salloween Day 29--Elevator

Another image that's so very fun to imagine with! Is this child the costume that demon in back pretends to have or is it in the middle of commanding the kid? And just look at how well the elevator is set up to be so easy for the demonic shadow to live in!
And yes...if the child is just the costume, I can easily see it bringing prey into the elevator by making it seem like the kid is just terrified of things. Those poor sweet people who'd check on him...

Haunted

I can't help but think that this is the result of someone coming to check on that kid in the previous piece. The hair in the foreground looks almost like the soul of someone being slowly wiped out by that kid with whatever that light is coming from. It's so fun to imagine all these things!
Of course, maybe it's just that the character with green hair has stolen the soul of the person owning the hair. That one in the front of the scene, of course, having collapsed; stunned and slowly passing away while the character in front just takes off to find yet another victim.

I really enjoyed this artist's style and pieces! If you'd like to see more pieces with this theme, artoflotu's gallery is right here!

Feature 209--glyphdragonix

When Two Meet

This looks like something we could see in a video game or something and I love it! There is so very much detail on everything, too, which is amazing. I enjoy how that road behind the fishbowl character came out and all that near the moon looks like they put a whole lot of effort into this.
As much as I enjoy being able to see so much detail, though, I wonder if it isn't a hair too much? Only because it makes it a bit harder to appreciate the main focus on the characters. Otherwise, this piece is fully amazing and they did a lovely job!

Underneath the Oak

Glyphdragonix has a nice little story underneath this piece, so I must suggest that you click the image to go to their piece so you can see it too!
Back to the artwork though, those clouds in the sky are amazing. Same for the trees as a whole but I have to give special mention to how they've done the leaves. It just makes me want to grab a handful of them and run my hand down the bark. It would also be amazing to touch that gryphon, provided it wouldn't be offended and take a bite out of me for the rudeness. I really love this piece, excellent job!

Circle City

Can you imagine putting a piece of a city design in a sphere like this and make the perspective work as well as here? I have so much respect for this piece, especially since it was made traditionally. And the buildings and bushes just seem to come together perfectly here. They say it only took one and a half months to finish this piece, too. They must have so been in the zone and it worked out perfectly!
Super work here, I'm so happy to have gotten to see it!

Weren't these three pieces amazing! Glyphdragonix' gallery is here so you can see even more of their work.

Feature 203--Alex-KZG

[OC] Arya

Isn't the colors Alex-KZG used just that perfect for this character? An Ebonian goddess, in his story, and just look how ready Arya is to take out what troubles she's facing! I love that lotus flower in the background, it is perfectly set to show what Arya got her life from.
And isn't the body figure just perfect? I love the whole bit!

[OC] Lacey as the Tooth Fairy

Haha, well it's very true that kids will get money for their lost teeth...I'm pretty sure they're not supposed to lose the whole mouthful though, no matter how much money the kid in question wants! XD
I wonder if 'psycho fairy' is just what she is or if it's the position Lacey is fitting right now? Can see it either way, and the ideas that come to mind would be perfect for a spooky story. Love this piece so much!

M3rMa1D Mk II unit

And the cyborg of the whole group! I wonder if she was originally built as one? ...the name seems like it of course but there's always a way for things to come together...
The name is also quite interesting! What would you do if you came across this Cyborg in the middle of a deep ocean base? Especially with that sci-fi like weapon she's holding! This is so fun to think on and play with in my head, thank you so much Alex!

These three pieces are so well done, weren't they? Alex-KZG's gallery is here if you'd enjoy seeing more!

Feature 202--HyliaBeilschmidt

Naval Supremacy

Ooo, I wonder where he's standing? Clearly on a battle ship (I assume) but just look how well the other ship was designed and how much smoke is coming from it! Certainly a win from what may well have been a long battle.
And I have got to squeal about how well the metal floor is reflecting all of these walls and windowpanes! All of the image is great, amazing work!

Summer of 1914

I hope this character is getting a bit of rest in this lovely background...but he seems to be in a war of 1914, in HyliaBeilschmidt's fiction that they wrote. It totally works together, the peaceful and calm land the character is currently on while the stress and battle is clearly going on in the character's mind.
It's so amazing to see the contrast. And just look at the trees, stones, and grasses drawn here. How tiny the brush/pencil was is amazing in my view! Gorgeous work!

The Order of Othala

Just look at this black and white image! It's amazing, always is great to see when an artist can command the drawing and pen so well! And doesn't this just work for a paranoid group of people with too much power to their name? The woman in center, Julia, set this bodyguard group up once she was attacked, too. I keep wondering which side she's on in this fight she's in.
It's so fun to see the work created from the stories created for the characters, it's amazing!

These pieces were so fun to see! HyliaBeilschmidt's gallery is here so you can check everything out too!

Feature 192--GrafvonEichenlaub1

Early 100 years war

This is a nice watercolor painting of the early 100 years war, don't you think? I have an awful time with watercolor myself, so full compliments over how well he controlled it!
I wonder, too, if this was meant to show something of the actual war or if this is something created from his own stories and characters. Either way, the weapons were drawn well and I enjoy the helmets that the soldiers on the ground are wearing. Lovely job!

Demon of castle Houska

This one was drawn for Halloween of 2001 and I can make up all kinds of stories for it!
Is the demon haunting the place or somehow controlled by it? Has he been sent as a punishment to those high living folks in the castle or is he being sent out to see that the royal family inside remains in control?
On that, I do enjoy how dark the castle and the area around is. Of course we'd see the demon in the stark of night while he plans his next move. Such a fun work!

Ritter in Maximilian style Armor

This is a well done bit of armor! And just look at that weapon he seems ready to bring down onto his foe! May his enemy go down quickly.
On top of that, don't you see how well the armor was drawn? None of it is too busy to distract from the next piece we look at; amazing since it's the whole suit of armor. It's amazing work, don't you think!

I really did enjoy featuring these pieces! To see more of GrafvonEichenlaub1's work, here is the link to his gallery. Hope you like it too!

Feature 187--midnightgravedigger

Feral

According to midnightgravedigger, this character is called Feral. He got the idea to draw this because he didn't agree with what the people in Marvel had done on the comic he saw Feral in.
Oh my gosh though, isn't the way he drew the hair just lovely? It definitely helps give the idea of a feline of some kind. I wonder if she were turned into this mutant because a cat walked nearby her when the chance was coming about?
Love it!

Submissive2

Midnightgravedigger named this character Submissive. Was she some comic character as well? I have no idea but I absolutely love how that dress has come out!
To me, she seems to be kneeling before some kind of higher power, perhaps some kind of spirit that gives her the skills she's able to work? Or perhaps she's just before someone who is like a king or queen, waiting patiently to be noticed.
Super good work!

Laboratory Subject: Wendy

Poor Wendy, dropped into the acid just to be turned into the next experiment! Can you imagine having to be awake during all of this, while the acid changes so very much of your skin and even likely preparing your body to grow more limbs...I bet the scientist behind this got taken apart for this misery before the end of it!
How I'd love to get to read the story behind this. The image is amazing and it looks like midnightgravedigger knew just how to make that acid appear just so miserable. Amazing work!

Weren't these three pieces so well done? To see more of them, check out midnightgravedigger's dA gallery!

Feature 180--CursedAtlas

King Kong

That is such a fun sky color for the fighting going on. Could you imagine being grabbed by a ginormous ape like this?
The planes were drawn super well and I can't help but enjoy their colors. Makes them super easy to see even if the giant ape isn't swatting or crushing one. Very enjoyable!

The Magician's Nephew

I wonder how high the pegasus has carried the kids? The texture of the grass makes me think that it's gone very high, blurring the trees and the grass below them.
Speaking of the grass, take a look at the mountains! They do a lovely job at setting off the horse's white coat. And it's so obvious that the hooves are made of some type of metal-like stuff, look at how the light is shining off that one!
Lovely job here. ^^

America Sings

Aha, these fellows!  I can't tell if their furball friend is a dog or a cat but I enjoy how furry the animal looks. There's hint of them having been at Splash Mountain in the comments on the piece, too. If it was an actual show, I bet that it was a very nice one.
I'm having a lot of fun imagining all of these sitting on hay bales or just in the dry grass while they're singing and playing after many hours of working on a farm. Perfect way to end a busy day!

These pieces were so fun to see! If you're interested in seeing more of CursedAtlas' work, here is his gallery.

Feature 175--ScottMackayArt

The Mandalorian and the Child

Have to squeal about how "Baby Yoda" (actually named Grogu) looks. Of course he'd be flying along in a small baby basket, fully proper in the Star Wars fantasy. I should really try to see some of this show, Cannot help but wonder how badly Grogu drives this Mandalorian insane.
Love how ScottMackayArt painted this desert-like background, it looks exactly like how I'd imagine a location in the Star Wars universe. Can you believe that this was painted in watercolor? That perfect sky is watercolor. The armor and fabric on Mando too. How hard was it to control the paints to make them stay where they were meant? And how in the world did he manage to make everything so solid looking?
Amazing work!

The Wizard's Library

There is Gandolf's hat! And then the map, isn't it painted great? On top of all that, I am amazed by how perfect that book in the middle of the desk looks. Does the magic all around and in the scrolls happen to play or get used by the playing cards, I wonder? This area really does look like a perfect section to get to sit down and get to work in private...betcha that with the spellbooks and scrolls all around, it'd be so easy to hide the place in plain sight if needed. I wish that I could go through the books on that bookshelf. Wasn't it designed perfectly with all the items that fit in each of the cubbies?
If you click the image and check out his artist comments, there's a whole 'spot them all' game that he actually put in this piece. All of the items are there, too!

Jenners

A full pen and ink piece! And you have got to respect the perspective knowledge and measurements that had to go into this drawing. It's amazing to me. According to Scott, it took a few weeks...I can see why it would take that long. And I really enjoy getting to see the lines on the left and on top that he used to help measure parts out.
He definitely has a a form of control of the ink he used on this. Full and total respect for this piece entirely!

You have to see more of ScottMackayArt's work, right? His gallery is here; go and get lost in all of the work he's put all his time in!

Feature 174--bee-yu

Ocean inside my head

Oof, I feel this one. Being pulled underwater, so one can only struggle against too many arms holding them under, running out of breath. Running out of time...
Didn't Bee-yu do a lovely job showing the edge of the water on the character's face? Showing us how hopeless fighting against all of this is? This is why someone else; having the courage to reach into the water and grabbing the trapped person, fighting against the thoughts and strength keeping us down; can never be thanked well enough for the rescue. Because that's exactly what it truly is...

Sad elf with roses

This poor lady! Was she left at the wedding altar? That dress sure looks like it...so she's stuck there, still holding the flowers that she had to carry up the path, poor thing.
Also, look at how beautiful her hair is! It almost looks like you could run your fingers through it, if the elf would allow. And doesn't the see through sleeves fit perfectly with the way this dress was designed? I love it! That white dress is also catching so much color, it's so gorgeous.
Excellent work!

Etiennie, the knight

Look at all the blood on this armor...may none of it be the soldier's! What kind of battle is Etiennie still in the middle of? I put my money on the fight not being done because what other than the foe would be getting that look in this moment's breath?
I absolutely love how the sun is shining on the armor, as if the clouds all around are just starting to crack. And just look at how the cloak seems like it's almost as heavy as the blade at the moment. May Etiennie catch breath in time to crack the enemy into many pieces!

Weren't these three pieces amazing? If you'd like to see more of bee-yu's work, you'll find the gallery here. Check everything out!

Feature 173--azureheim

Half Orc Rogue

This character appears to be so fun to play! Azureheim created her when he was playing a dungeons and dragons game with his friends and I so wish that there was a copy of the story to get to read.
The leather he painted as her armor looks very stiff, like one would hope a leather armor to be when facing swords and even knives like she's holding. Aren't those also drawn and painted super well? Excellent work; love her!

Dwarven Warrior

How do you think Azureheim managed the armor that this dwarf is wearing? I personally really enjoy the chainmail that's under the arm and legplates. It looks perfect in my opinion!
And what do you think about how that scar was handled? What other scars is hidden by all this metal? Also have to just squeal; just look at that beard! It looks so thick!
Super enjoy this guy!

Female Paladin Cell-shaded

Speaking of armor, he gets us again with this lovely paladin. I wonder what gods or, dare we guess the possibility, what devil is powering her ability to fight?
We get to see a touch of chainmail that was put on this character. Is it a specific brush that Azureheim found or created? I can't help but love that bit of texture it lends to the whole image! And just look (and drool) at the fabric coming down from her belt. Looks like it'd be perfect to make it harder to keep up with where she is--is she being watched or is how the fabric dances keeping the foe's attention?

Love the way that azureheim set up these characters, they're so fun to imagine stories and what they meet for! To see more of his awesome work, check out his gallery here!

Feature 170--JuliaMersmann

Lamia

This background is so perfect for some of the images of vampires that I've seen. I wonder how long it took her to make this come out so well? And just take a look at how the lightning from the storm has lit up the floor tiles!
Speaking of light, don't those candles look perfect? Especially how the light from them touches so perfectly on the vampire's dress and the baby's wrap. This whole piece is just gorgeous, definitely one of my favorites!

Flora of the Moon

Interesting piece! It's a Draw Everything June and Julia drew the Moonpresence from Bloodborne. Isn't this just the most interesting pose that this creature could have been drawn in? It looks just as distorted as the game makes it look but I just adore how the moon appears to be something of an egg for the creature; just waiting to hatch.
The tentacles look amazing and it would just be wrong to not mention how well the ribs and spine came out. My eyes keep going toward the creature's feet and claws on the toes. The whole piece is super well done!

Drow me Like a French Girl

It's so fun to see people draw their D&D characters. This one is a Drow who is more than happy to lay out on a comfortable surface and appear so lovely. Why not, right? All of the focus he gets on his bare body while he just gets to lay there in the proper poses!
The darkness of the image does perfectly to help censor certain places and it almost looks natural for how the shadows fit. And then the characters blue eyes just seem to glow with all the candles shining into them...he probably has eyes that glow anyway, to be fair, he's a Drow!

What a fun image to get to end on, right? These pieces are amazing and I truly love her painting style with all of these. If you'd like to see more of JuliaMersmann's artwork, her deviantart gallery is right here. Go check it out!

Feature 156--Dracuria

Skull And Roses

Isn't the detail drawn on this skull so perfect? And when you can tear your eyes away from there, just look at how well the roses and vines have been drawn! My eyes keep going back to the eyesockets of the skull. Doesn't the shadow help set off the green and red on the roses?
Speaking of the colors! Dracuria mentions that she uses decotime twinmarkers? Haven't heard of them but they definitely can put out some perfect colors. It's always a treat to see when the tools can do what they're advertised. Just proves even more that she knows what she's doing with them.

Zombie and Moths

Here is my favorite of all the shared pieces. I just have to wonder how long it took to get all of this detail on the tree and on the zombie! The colors help to make it stand out perfectly! I hope that the zombie can find some form of rest in this place when it's finally put down.
And I'm more than aware that it is just a bit of tree behind the zombie, but that green and brown section just behind it's ear makes me think of how the zombie's hairstyle in life could have been. Seems like it could have just fit!

Mermay 2021

Another piece that shows Dracuria's skill in laying down her colors. This one is perfect in showing exactly how deep the water is in our current area. And just look at the plants that the Mermaid is hiding in. They're gorgeous!
Doesn't the mermaid look great with all of that around it? Just the right colors to help make it the focus! My eyes keep going for it's fin on the top of its head and those pretty yellow eyes. Love the subject and how it'd still be hidden if we were just a bit away. Super work!

These three pieces were amazing to see and share! Be certain to go to Dracuria's deviantart for more of her work. Also, check out her Instagram, Redbubble, and Teepublic if any of those catch your eye!

Feature 155--Serch2

Hunter

This was an attempt to draw a sexy looking male character...I think Serch2 did a good job of it!
Silly question: Do you guys think the cat or that sword spills more blood? Ooh, if the saber-tooth cat is more of a ridden animal, it could definitely slow the target or throw them a short distance...and before I realize it, a few minutes have passed with imagining what task they have in their tribe. XD
Excellent work, Serch2!

No Escape

I have to say that this is one very well shaded and designed piece. Could imagine this as some place just beside a wizard's spell-writing desk, the candle and glass bottles in easy reach. Don't you love the light against the glass and wood? That feather quill looks so soft too.
This poor fairy looks like she's exhausted herself trying to escape, too. (Because, of course, the wizard would have something to keep her in place!) It's probably unlikely that someone would buy the poor thing, too. Definitely not to just free her!

Silence

Serch2 mentions that this is an 'end of year' piece...the skull certainly makes me think that someone/something has been put to rest. Maybe the viewer is being instructed to be quiet as we walk nearby; allowed to have our last thoughts with them?
The design of the hair is gorgeous, it looks so properly thick. The feathers and flowers makes me wonder if this is a character that also leads someone to their new life? I adore pieces like this!

Weren't these pencil-works so amazing? I'll always respect people who can make pencils work like this! To see more of Serch2's artwork, here is their dA gallery.
Also! Don't forget to check out their Redbubble and Instagram galleries, it'll be well worth your time.
