Feature 192--GrafvonEichenlaub1

Early 100 years war

This is a nice watercolor painting of the early 100 years war, don't you think? I have an awful time with watercolor myself, so full compliments over how well he controlled it!
I wonder, too, if this was meant to show something of the actual war or if this is something created from his own stories and characters. Either way, the weapons were drawn well and I enjoy the helmets that the soldiers on the ground are wearing. Lovely job!

Demon of castle Houska

This one was drawn for Halloween of 2001 and I can make up all kinds of stories for it!
Is the demon haunting the place or somehow controlled by it? Has he been sent as a punishment to those high living folks in the castle or is he being sent out to see that the royal family inside remains in control?
On that, I do enjoy how dark the castle and the area around is. Of course we'd see the demon in the stark of night while he plans his next move. Such a fun work!

Ritter in Maximilian style Armor

This is a well done bit of armor! And just look at that weapon he seems ready to bring down onto his foe! May his enemy go down quickly.
On top of that, don't you see how well the armor was drawn? None of it is too busy to distract from the next piece we look at; amazing since it's the whole suit of armor. It's amazing work, don't you think!

I really did enjoy featuring these pieces! To see more of GrafvonEichenlaub1's work, here is the link to his gallery. Hope you like it too!

Feature 158--Red-Shepherds

San Fermin

Love how red-shepherds wrote these two characters in the artist comments. He mentions in other pieces that many of the characters are from an RP or something like that; so it makes me wonder if these two are exactly the same.
But just look at the fellow with the bow and arrow! I can't help but love his hair. And I love the electricity near the arrow too. Then again, that could be some kind of rope or net too, couldn't it? His brother there beside him, as well, wasn't the hair pained just perfectly to set it off against the sky?
I really enjoy this piece!

Hanged Man Part II

A Tarot card showing Asher, one of red-shephards' characters. I just can't get my eyes away from how he's grinning in this...problem...he's found himself in. Makes him seem a bit mad!
The creature keeping him alive is meant to be a long dead pirate. No wonder he seems to be laughing about the issue. How can he be killed again, even if the body he is in still lives? Gosh I enjoy characters like this, it just gets my brain going in overdrive to fill in what I don't know.
Amazing work.

Forgeborn

The time that had to be taken for this piece is just amazing. Look how well he lit the whole thing from that one furnace! This one is a Christmas gift to one of red-shepherds' friends, showing a character from the Mage the Awakening rule sets.
Can't help to notice how well the colors help solidly place the character front and center. In such a dark piece, that had to be hard to manage.
Love it!

Aren't these pieces just fun? He's got plenty more characters to check out so here is red-shepherds gallery; it's well worth your time to drop by so you can see more of his work!
