Feature 206--Rikka-Miyagi

Jingle Bell gift No1

This was a super well done gift to one of Rikka-Miyagi's friends and oh my gosh how adorable! I wonder how much the character is enjoying the candy cane? (Looks like very much since we seem to see the tongue!)
And the wreath sets off the character in center very well. Gives it a lovely background and keeps the red from burning our eyes at the same time! This piece is adorable, I'm so grateful that she showed me this!

Trick or Treat TOH

It's so fun how everyone is holding onto the one dressed as a zombie. Was the person or people they were asking for candy from so terrifying? ...that might actually be possible, since I've never seen the show...Wouldn't it just add that bit extra for this picture's scene?
In my opinion, Rikka set the scene perfectly. It's so fun to imagine what the three have come across since it's *trick* or treat. Really enjoy this piece!

Tiger Blep

A wild animal that has given the camera such a blep. The Tiger in question must have well known the person taking the photo!
Can you see how nice Rikka designed the fur all over this big cat? ...I wish it would be safe to just run my fingers through this one's fur. (But we do have to respect the wild creature in question so no doing it. XD) Cats of any size always have a place in my heart, especially as well as Rikka did on this piece!

I really enjoy the way that Rikka-Miyagi used and handled all of the colors on these pieces and on her gallery! Link is here for your own enjoyment.

Feature 180--CursedAtlas

King Kong

That is such a fun sky color for the fighting going on. Could you imagine being grabbed by a ginormous ape like this?
The planes were drawn super well and I can't help but enjoy their colors. Makes them super easy to see even if the giant ape isn't swatting or crushing one. Very enjoyable!

The Magician's Nephew

I wonder how high the pegasus has carried the kids? The texture of the grass makes me think that it's gone very high, blurring the trees and the grass below them.
Speaking of the grass, take a look at the mountains! They do a lovely job at setting off the horse's white coat. And it's so obvious that the hooves are made of some type of metal-like stuff, look at how the light is shining off that one!
Lovely job here. ^^

America Sings

Aha, these fellows!  I can't tell if their furball friend is a dog or a cat but I enjoy how furry the animal looks. There's hint of them having been at Splash Mountain in the comments on the piece, too. If it was an actual show, I bet that it was a very nice one.
I'm having a lot of fun imagining all of these sitting on hay bales or just in the dry grass while they're singing and playing after many hours of working on a farm. Perfect way to end a busy day!

These pieces were so fun to see! If you're interested in seeing more of CursedAtlas' work, here is his gallery.

Feature 120--Zeemalken

OC - Meridia

Interesting! Zeemilken mentions this character is a human/demon breed who normally doesn't show emotion on her face. (She has emotions, just doesn't show them.) I have to wonder exactly how this character works in her story. And can I mention how nice that hair looks? I love how Zeemalken painted that.
Also in love with that scythe. That has to be a very fun weapon to write about.

OC - Gwen

Love that smirk on Gwen's face; it looks like someone is about to get served a very painful burst. Bet they totally deserve it.
The blonde that was used in her hair seems so realistic to me. Those clothes she's wearing look amazing. Zeemalken gave some great attention to all of it, don't you think? I think my favorites are the skirt and the gold that is holding up the edge of the boots.

Zeeva

This tiger, Zeeva, belongs to Gwen from our last image.
And oh. my. gosh. Look at that fur! If only I could scratch that cat without the obvious problems that would come from it...Argh, it would so be worth it!

These three pieces are from Zeemalken's dA, weren't they amazing? Make sure you check out the folders along the top of the gallery to be able to see all of her work!
