Feature 211--kitpaint

Rocky Lounging

If this isn't a cat, I don't know what is and I entirely loved it. I wonder how long fuzz decided to lay like this for kitpaint?
But isn't this ink work just amazing? That cat looks so fuzzy and I enjoy how the detail on the cat was designed. Aah, I just want to rub that fur so much! Doesn't it seem like there'd be such a perfect feeling under the fingers?

Lottie

Oooh, a pretty little black cat, at least as Kitpaint wrote on her page. This one  looks so very furry, doesn't it? And how did the fuzzball allow for the sketch without demanding the payment in all pets? (I mean, it's very fast to take a photo, but it's quite fun to imagine the kitty sitting there like has to happen for painters.) I really enjoy this piece, excellent work!

Lion Cub in Pen

So I love the shadow under this lion cub. Temporarily, it made me think of grass under it but...wouldn't that just be right anyway? And, like the first cat drawing in this feature, there certainly seems to be a lovely amount of texture on this piece. I wonder how long it took to learn that skill?
Amazing work all around, I love it!

I wish I could control a fineliner like this! Check out kitpaint's gallery to see more of their artwork, well worth it!

Feature 206--Rikka-Miyagi

Jingle Bell gift No1

This was a super well done gift to one of Rikka-Miyagi's friends and oh my gosh how adorable! I wonder how much the character is enjoying the candy cane? (Looks like very much since we seem to see the tongue!)
And the wreath sets off the character in center very well. Gives it a lovely background and keeps the red from burning our eyes at the same time! This piece is adorable, I'm so grateful that she showed me this!

Trick or Treat TOH

It's so fun how everyone is holding onto the one dressed as a zombie. Was the person or people they were asking for candy from so terrifying? ...that might actually be possible, since I've never seen the show...Wouldn't it just add that bit extra for this picture's scene?
In my opinion, Rikka set the scene perfectly. It's so fun to imagine what the three have come across since it's *trick* or treat. Really enjoy this piece!

Tiger Blep

A wild animal that has given the camera such a blep. The Tiger in question must have well known the person taking the photo!
Can you see how nice Rikka designed the fur all over this big cat? ...I wish it would be safe to just run my fingers through this one's fur. (But we do have to respect the wild creature in question so no doing it. XD) Cats of any size always have a place in my heart, especially as well as Rikka did on this piece!

I really enjoy the way that Rikka-Miyagi used and handled all of the colors on these pieces and on her gallery! Link is here for your own enjoyment.

Feature 198--Interstellar643

Batman

The colors put in this image really has done a good job to bring Batman closer to the camera, in my opinion. I never thought about using a pinkish shade for such as this!
Can you see those wrinkles in the fabrics too? I love how they work and were built for this image. It's just been so fun to let my eyes go over the picture to notice little pieces that I hadn't seen before. So great!

Cat Sketch

I really do enjoy the linework used here! Isn't this the classic 'what?' look that a cat will give you? Just shortly before those eyes go black as night while the kitty thinks about a way to tackle your hand or a toe!
Wonder if this is a portrait of a cat Interstellar643 happened to own at one time? It's so very cute!

Working Girl

Here is another piece of linework that Interstellar drew. Isn't it so fun to see how they were able to share how the figure has some form; that the lady here actually takes up some space!
I enjoy the little tale Interstellar has in the artist comments--they had seen or imagined a lady who is on break and thoroughly enjoying that tea or coffee in her cup. Really enjoy this piece, very good work!

Weren't these three pieces great? To see more of Interstellar643's work, here is their gallery!

Feature 197--sushy00

Digimontober 27: Dracomon

Isn't this such a pretty piece? That sky is amazing and helps set off the digimon and the grass. Speaking of, wasn't the grass done so very well in this style? It seems like I could run a hand through it!
and I love how sushy00 created the texture on Dracomon! I wonder how long it took? 100% worth the time used either way, it seems like the digimon has scales with all of this. Super job!

Pigs on a Farm

The scene for this piece was created so very well! I wish I could live there since it looks so very peaceful. Especially with that lovely sky!
This was a commission sushy00 drew for someone, it's supposed to be some kind of image that comes when a game is won. With the patterns on the walls and the roof, I wonder if it was some kind of card game involving these pigs? Seems like it would be very fun!

Digimontober 29: Drimogemon

This one is supposed to be some kind of mole, isn't it? I really enjoy the shade sushy00 chose for the purple and shaded it so well. Along with a similar shading like was done on Dracomon too, love how it works out so well!
And isn't it so nice that this one has metal of a kind to dig through the dirt that a mole lives in. And at least the nails and horn wouldn't be able to break off like could happen to regular animals. Really do enjoy this piece!

Sushy00 did such an amazing job with all three of these images, thanks so much to them for sharing with me. If you'd enjoy seeing more of their work, the gallery is right here!

Feature 190--kitpaint

Pumpkin-Fellow

Ink. This is made in ink for Inktober and oh doesn't it look so pretty! To me, it looks like he's taking a look outside to breathe in the dark and enjoy that moonlight.
But just look at how well kitpaint made those lines! It looks properly night time to me, and I'm really enjoying how the shadow is over the bushes and trees behind the character. Excellent piece!

Lottie

This is apparently a little black kitty that kitpaint drew. I wonder how hard it was to get the kitten's attention before a photo was taken? Granted that's assuming kitpaint needed a photo!
Either way, the angle this was drawn in seems quite nice to me. How hard was it to control the micron pens to make pieces as lovely as this? And can't you just see how furry the kitten in question is?
Love it!

Lion cub in pen

Here is some more of that shading that I'm so in love with. Doesn't kitpaint do a lovely job in making not only such a lovely shadow, but the whole animal come out in 3D? I could just see this little one on his or her way to bother a sibling or one of the parents. Because that is a definite rule with any kind of cat.
I mentioned it once in the Lottie piece too, but isn't it just something with how kitpaint can make such texture with the cub's fur the way they did? Gorgeous!

These were some amazing pieces! To see more, here is the link to kitpaint's deviantart gallery.

Feature 185--hyacinthandsal

Damage Control

If only shouting 'damage control' would clean up any messes in the area. It'd be so easier than what we already do...so why hasn't anyone invented this yet?
And what a terrible way to run a club that is supposed to be for yogurt! Throwing it in the floor instead of being able to eat it all? Terrible terrible...at least the one who is cleaning up seems to recognize the issue. Perfect for a giggle!

Nature of Sage

That fox girl thinking she's really getting into reading...really made me laugh here.
Gosh if only getting into reading and understanding the whole book was so easy! But...it's honestly more fun to actually read instead of just glancing at things. Pity the fox gal isn't going to get it til she finally checks one out!

No Joke

Oh yes. Dad getting a joke is definitely the way to tell when one is actually funny, right? ...that or Hyacinth has just barely learned the magic of a proper dad-joke and how it definitely makes everyone else groan.
Love this one so much! But I've always had a soft spots for bad jokes. Especially ones that are just told in the calm and quiet of what is probably a living room. Thank you so much David for showing that these jokes have their times and places.
