Love and LOVE how Xander's hair came out! It'll be quite fun to paint it when it finally is fully designed, but first he needs the same clothes as he was wearing in the Jadewind Festival. It's going to work great!

A mildly tacky sketch but it shows exactly what's needed when I go after it with the tablet! Of course, I need to attach the torso to the hip and see what I can do about those feet (just got a hint to make them seem like not high heels like the reference). Plus those evil hands that have to be positioned right. XD
What I'm planning to do is something similar to how I did Norux's character sheet. One with Alexander posed (like this sketch) and one with him standing straight just so we can see detail! It's going to be so fun once I get to it.
I have learned the magic of Krita's Tone curve tool @@ (Thanks to my friend for suggesting it!)
In this version, the original, you can see exactly how gray I tend to turn things when left to my own whims. XD (As if you've not been seeing it already!) But just look at what Filter > Color Adjustment was able to bring out!
I have no real idea why I tend to paint in such a gray tone but I've been doing it for ages. ...I guess this all winds down to "praise the tools that digital art programs give us"! XD Or is it more "stop forgetting about them!", maybe? Either way, remembering for the next pieces should help super well!
Also, I've bought a set of brushes for Krita that should well help out when I need to paint grass and such so I have *got* to chatter about the maker and where it was bought. The store is run by KmcVisuals and this is the brush set I bought. As of now? I think I love them~

Soooo...I've been a tad addicted to my Sims the past few weeks and tried to directly paint from the thumbnail I showed not that long ago. And since I've been so distracted by that video game for now, I forgot to do over half of the building process of a piece.
I hope y'all follow the dirt and gravel roads in your minds and enjoy this "trip" to what was a simpler PC time. XD
I'm sure that there'll be something more matching to what was actually my planning next week or so!

Windmill in working order; couple clouds in the sky, a few paths that people have caused from walking between the roads, couple of farms...this piece is properly complete! <3
Totally loving these mountains, they worked out great! Thank goodness to the photos on pinterest, right? (Maybe too that it was fun to get distracted several times and look around all over the site too. XD)
Now I just need to adjust the ground and add in more of the town! ^^
Eee! Loving how this sky worked out! Didn't use the blending tool at all and this just looks great.
I'm just terrified of making up Jadewind and make that work out...We'll see what happens.
And some clouds *have* to be put in the sky too, they'd look so nice!

First off, I have to say that I really enjoy how the computer-like bits seem to fly off the screen. StaticBlu has done something really nice to get them to be like that!
And it's fun how the villain (I assume she is) has Tails, Amy, and Knuckles behind Sonic, seeming so ready to blink out of this existence. Is that something on that level or is it just the threat she's giving them all? Because we all know that a sage is as good of a villain to *anyone* who hasn't quite learned the area...and who knows it better than something like a computer?

It has decided to be very...blue. And oh gosh how much fun it was to do this! Will be correcting those piles of cotton in the sky but they seem to have worked out for a good start.
Caution: Be aware this artist's work is a bit creepy in its style. If you're not in the mental state to see this, please wait until the next feature. Thank you.

This was a fun little thing to play with. It's going to help make a very nice painting by the time I'm finished! Now to start painting for details and all of that.

Wheee... First, I am never going to draw so many stones again. (So I claim. I give it a short number of weeks til it happens again for some reason.)
Whee. It's time to paint this, things are working great right now! The fire and magma behind him is going to be so fun to paint and that fireball he's shooting forward is going to be amazing I hope!
...the idea works in my mind so we'll see soon if it works in paint. XD
Here is what I have at the second, those feet are bothering me now. (Think what they'll do when I get to fix his costume!) Can't wait to get this whole bit to work out.
And PureRef this time instead of just looking at a second or third window. So far, PureRef's been doing quite well for me so here's a link if anyone's interested: https://www.pureref.com/ Basically it can keep all of your references in one space instead of a dozen extra tabs, quite useful!

Mom has asked for irises and roses so I'm still trying to plan that out, but hasn't this dogwood tree worked out! *squee* The tree and the daffodils worked together excellent!
