Feature 214--wonderingwellow

Doubt I have to remind y'all, but click on the image to get taken to the page the art's on! Isn't this an amazing piece of pixel work? To be able to work on such small pieces of art is just lovely.
I personally love how she put that crown on the swan's head and how it works so nicely with the sky behind it. The water moves perfectly too, in my opinion. Lovely artwork!

Ooh, is this what it's supposed to be like inside the pokeballs for the individual pokemon? Anything to make it more comfortable for them, I imagine.
Really enjoying how the flowers move as if there's a bit of wind in here. And then the Pikachu in the center is bouncing as if he is quite happy in this section. I hope he really is! And then that he and the rest of the pokemon this owner has get to walk with him or her. They can't just be inside the ball, right?
I personally love this piece!

As I know nothing about animating anything, I wonder if the bubbles in the water and the blinking of the mermaid's eyes is why her tailtip can't move? Then again, with the fish and bubbles in the water maybe it would have caused too much distraction.
But aren't the colors just perfect for this scene? We can see the mermaid very easily and there's nothing causing any issues in the fish swimming back and forth. I'd love to be able to be *in* this bit of water! Lovely work!

These pieces are fully amazing! Not only pixel but animated too? If you'd want to see more of wonderingwellow's art and her writing, her gallery is here! Please drop by 💖

Feature 213--StaticBlu

A Mysterious Disturbance

First off, I have to say that I really enjoy how the computer-like bits seem to fly off the screen. StaticBlu has done something really nice to get them to be like that!
And it's fun how the villain (I assume she is) has Tails, Amy, and Knuckles behind Sonic, seeming so ready to blink out of this existence. Is that something on that level or is it just the threat she's giving them all? Because we all know that a sage is as good of a villain to *anyone* who hasn't quite learned the area...and who knows it better than something like a computer?

Pokemon Snow Expedition

I need to get back into the pokemon games...because if this kind of area is hinted toward or even shown in it? Has to be quite the pretty scene! And so is this. StaticBlu seems to have known exactly what to make for this...and those starters that he drew seems perfect!
I always love the fire starters so of course I'm drawn to that Cyndaquil. But I wonder what the bird type becomes by the end of its line? And Oshawott has to be fun to learn too!

Left in the Dark

Loving the mastery of color and light here, our eyes are lead all around the scene perfectly. And I personally really enjoy the bright colors on Samus herself! Doesn't this section she's in just fit the Metroid games in general?
Also, it's so much fun to let my eyes just follow the shapes in the shadows. Everything seems to come through very clearly--extra points on StaticBlu's end, I think! Super work!

It's been fun to get to see all of these! If you'd like to see more of StaticBlu's work, his gallery is right here!

Feature 128--Sphelon8565

SM redraw with Aerith and Tifa

I'm unsure what a Sailor Moon redraw is. Perhaps a mimicry of a scene in the show or manga?
Either way, look how well Sphelon8565 did with the characters! I personally love how much life he was able to put into both characters' hair. And look at the expression on their faces! I wonder what happened to make them seem so concerned? Of course, I have GOT to make mention of how thin the lines are and how well that works with the scene.
Amazing work!

League of Legends|Janna - Harmonic Calmness

Can I just go on about how amazing that pose came out? I love how relaxed Janna seems to be in that position.
Look at how beautiful her surroundings are. Is it any wonder that she's able to rest here? According to the artist, she's in a secretive location called Runeterra. I bet that she needs to be able to relax in a safe place. Apparently the character is 'The Storm's Fury' in the games, so I'm sure she's happy to have such a place to herself!

Gijinka Pokemon Gen III

Humanized pokemon used in the Elite 4 battle! They're Blaziken, Aggron, Gardivor, Milotec, Salamence, and Ninjask. Sounds like the Elite 4 had very little chance against this group--understood from my Generation 1 playing, of course.
Love how well all of these characters were designed. And of course I adore all the longer bits of clothing. Can't help imagining them in a light wind, standing in one of those dramatic poses.
So much fun to imagine with these guys!

These three pieces were so well done! To see more of Spheleon8565's art, here is the link to his deviantart gallery. Don't forget to check out the folders along the top!
