Feature 214--wonderingwellow

Doubt I have to remind y'all, but click on the image to get taken to the page the art's on! Isn't this an amazing piece of pixel work? To be able to work on such small pieces of art is just lovely.
I personally love how she put that crown on the swan's head and how it works so nicely with the sky behind it. The water moves perfectly too, in my opinion. Lovely artwork!

Ooh, is this what it's supposed to be like inside the pokeballs for the individual pokemon? Anything to make it more comfortable for them, I imagine.
Really enjoying how the flowers move as if there's a bit of wind in here. And then the Pikachu in the center is bouncing as if he is quite happy in this section. I hope he really is! And then that he and the rest of the pokemon this owner has get to walk with him or her. They can't just be inside the ball, right?
I personally love this piece!

As I know nothing about animating anything, I wonder if the bubbles in the water and the blinking of the mermaid's eyes is why her tailtip can't move? Then again, with the fish and bubbles in the water maybe it would have caused too much distraction.
But aren't the colors just perfect for this scene? We can see the mermaid very easily and there's nothing causing any issues in the fish swimming back and forth. I'd love to be able to be *in* this bit of water! Lovely work!

These pieces are fully amazing! Not only pixel but animated too? If you'd want to see more of wonderingwellow's art and her writing, her gallery is here! Please drop by 💖

Feature 106--Cuestionador

The Dream of Cleopatra

Can you imagine how hard it could be to cut some of these pieces just to fit correctly on a collage? Cuestionador mentions that he keeps folders for what pieces might fit and work for a certain piece, but I still wonder how long it took him to cut things so closely without losing the story he was trying to tell. But he does his magic and makes everything come together great. I wonder, too, how he made the paper and glue work so decently together. (If it were my work, it'd all be a lumpy, sticky mess.)
Anyway. This is one brilliant collage and the next two are just as awesome!

The Mermaid

Here's another that shows how well he's able to manage his scissors and how great he is to show his idea. This one makes me wonder how long Cuestionador has to wait for pieces to dry before he can put another one down. Because look at how seamless it is! And I personally love that water he put in the background there and it just looks right for it to be blocked by a black and white texture. ...perhaps it's the song of the mermaid to lead the sailors to their doom?
This piece makes me think of so many ideas. Love it!

The Angel

Using the hints on the image and on the collage's page, this is meant to be Lucifer; the fallen angel. Such a desolate place he's in, look how empty and ruined that background is. And with that blood moon and the magma just dripping off a cliff! Cuestionador set this collage up perfectly, don't you think? The white form of the statue and the face front and center with fire and destruction behind him.
And that's only what I see in this. I'm sure that there are plenty of other things that can be made from this collage!

It's a rare thing to get some traditional collages for these features! Didn't they turn out great? Cuestionador has many more of them in his gallery; don't forget to check out his ink and Pokemon pieces!

Feature 88--Anime-Cat-Art

The model for this adorable picture was adopted 4 days ago, at time of writing this post. Didn't Maya take the very best pose? Don't tell me that cats don't have a clue what people are doing. XD
Anime-Cat-Art did such a good job on this! And of course, the cat lover that I am would put this one as the first on the feature... Welp! Just love cats with me and everything will be just fine.

Seven characters on the same image! Isn't that just amazing? And I love how busy the whole space is without overwhelming everything! Anime-Cat-Art definitely knows how to show the right amount of space between everyone and I seriously love the splashing in the water at front.
This looks like such the fun place to be!

There's a reason I was holding this one until the end piece and I hope that it amazes you the same that it does me! The camera seriously does appear to be looking down over the mermaid here. I can't imagine the difficulty that Anime-Cat-Art had to get this to work out for her but I'm so so happy that she worked it out!
And isn't the mermaid's eyes just painted so very well? They look so pretty to me. Honestly, she just looks so amazed at the birds over her and it is perfect in my eyes.

So, after seeing all three of these pieces, you want to see what else she can paint, right? Anime-Cat-Art's gallery has so many other super well done images! Don't forget to check out all the folders, too!
