Feature 228--ArtwiththeDragonKing

Moonscape

Doesn't this moon look like it's trying to draw us in as if it were an older video game? Aside from the spirals going inward, what do you think about the rocks on the inside of the crescent? In my view, maybe this is something that was hidden from the enemy. Or perhaps those rocks are where the villain is hiding?
So many ideas to play with on this piece. Excellent work!

Bat Child

This one is judging us? With hair growing from his ear and that hair of his?
Had a lot of fun looking this character over; I'm really enjoying his eyes and how his nose has been designed. And just look at the teeth! Surely some kind of predator..even bats that only eat insects tend to have really sharp ones.
I would love to know what his story actually is. It'd just help this already great piece!

Spiiiider

These creatures are always some kind of annoyance, aren't they? XD I love the title written like this as if a person is squealing after finding it. And just look at the spider mock them with that look on its face!
...hopefully it was able to get away before someone swatted at it. (That's assuming it's not dancing in the roads as some kind of giant while singing like those older movies!)

So! This artist has left dA because of the AI stuff being allowed--can't blame him at all! He's on Facebook with the same username. Please go to that link! He has a linktr.ee too, if you'd like to see his other pages.

Feature 208--Devine-Escapes

Fire Circle Stone Art

This is meant to be a fire pit. I'm so glad that the person who bought this kind of art decided to not put a fire in the middle of it, as is mentioned in the comments. I personally love the colors the stones Devine-Escapes was able to find and make work together. I can definitely see the eye that he mentioned in his comments, like this is a brown or hazel colored eye.
I personally love this, excellent work!

Visionary Stone Sculpture Tentacle with Eyes

This must be something that we'd see in a video game, a large tentacle that is used to attack the player. And of course the eyes all over have to be able to fire off lasers or some kind. It's a perfect thing, too, if one wants to protect their yard.
Can you believe this is 7 feet and 3 inches? And managed to keep its balance even with these curves it has before he hid some mortar to keep the shape! Amazing work, it was so fun to get to see this.

Bluestone and Slate Sphere

First off, have I mentioned that Devine-Escape creates these designs himself? Just look at how nice this sphere turned out! How long did he have to work to learn all this? It's all amazing!
I personally love this sphere since it's so well made--all of the stone is worked to make such a nice curve all around. Excellent work!

I've always loved when people create things like this! Here is Devine-Escape's gallery so you can see more of his photos! And I'd be wrong to not mention his website as well!

Feature 144--IzARTela

Cancer

Always do enjoy someone's interpretation of how the signs of the Zodiac looks. This is great! Cancer definitely works as a ballerina and don't you just love the dress that IzARTela put on her? It's so pretty in those shades of pink.
She was inspired by Art Nouveau style when she designed this. Doesn't it just work for this one? And the change from arms to claws, from the hair to the part of shell on her head, just accents this whole piece. Excellent work!

Le chat avec des fleurs

Eee, this is a ragdoll cat that IzARTela owns. Hasn't she done a beautiful job in painting him? It really does look like you could just run your fingers through this one's fur. And those whiskers are 100% in the position of 'cat who is trying to figure out what their weird twoleg pet is doing'. I love it!
And when you can tear your view away from the cat's adorable blue eyes, aren't the flowers in front designed so perfectly? So very great!

Decay

I was immediately drawn to this piece because of how well it shows its subject. The mask is broken and always worn above the troubles and issues that one may have...is it any wonder that the mask itself might be a bit broken from what all it takes? And I'm fully in love with how IzARTela designed the torso and arms of this character. It just makes me wonder what is being hidden and how long the character has had to pretend to not be what they truly are. Love it!

These three works are amazing! If you'd like to see more, drop by IzARTela's dA gallery! She's done so much work to think about and enjoy. ^^

Feature 123--Ewen Feuillatre

Mortelle Est La Nuit

This is the piece that drew me to Ewen's gallery to begin with. Isn't it just amazing the way that he used the blue and white to help show the limit to the figure's black body? I also love how he got the closed eye colors to work out.
It does seem like the figure is definitely wearing makeup or something, doesn't it? I wonder how much work it took to get all of this to adjust right? I know I've said it twice but this piece really does amaze me.

Homme Bleu

In this piece, Ewen mentions it's a photomanipulation. I'm glad he did, because I'm not sure that I would have noticed. Look at those marks on the figure's face, don't they look just like brushstrokes? And take a look at the background; specifically the upper left. That seems like a leaf design to me, not to mention that part just below it.
I just keep having more and more to look at the longer I take looking at this one. Amazing work!

Oizys

This one is interesting, I can only get glimpses of the image's story by reading the tags on dA!
What I can understand is that she's a Greek goddess and that, for some reason, she's sad. The image does look like she's cracking apart, doesn't it? I wonder if these brush strokes on her face are meant to be fire...or maybe that she's encased in ice with reflections showing what she is seeing?
Love this work!

These have been some pretty great paintings, haven't they? Be sure to check out Ewen Feuillatre's dA gallery to see even more of what he creates, especially with color!

Feature 106--Cuestionador

The Dream of Cleopatra

Can you imagine how hard it could be to cut some of these pieces just to fit correctly on a collage? Cuestionador mentions that he keeps folders for what pieces might fit and work for a certain piece, but I still wonder how long it took him to cut things so closely without losing the story he was trying to tell. But he does his magic and makes everything come together great. I wonder, too, how he made the paper and glue work so decently together. (If it were my work, it'd all be a lumpy, sticky mess.)
Anyway. This is one brilliant collage and the next two are just as awesome!

The Mermaid

Here's another that shows how well he's able to manage his scissors and how great he is to show his idea. This one makes me wonder how long Cuestionador has to wait for pieces to dry before he can put another one down. Because look at how seamless it is! And I personally love that water he put in the background there and it just looks right for it to be blocked by a black and white texture. ...perhaps it's the song of the mermaid to lead the sailors to their doom?
This piece makes me think of so many ideas. Love it!

The Angel

Using the hints on the image and on the collage's page, this is meant to be Lucifer; the fallen angel. Such a desolate place he's in, look how empty and ruined that background is. And with that blood moon and the magma just dripping off a cliff! Cuestionador set this collage up perfectly, don't you think? The white form of the statue and the face front and center with fire and destruction behind him.
And that's only what I see in this. I'm sure that there are plenty of other things that can be made from this collage!

It's a rare thing to get some traditional collages for these features! Didn't they turn out great? Cuestionador has many more of them in his gallery; don't forget to check out his ink and Pokemon pieces!
