Feature 208--Devine-Escapes

Fire Circle Stone Art

This is meant to be a fire pit. I'm so glad that the person who bought this kind of art decided to not put a fire in the middle of it, as is mentioned in the comments. I personally love the colors the stones Devine-Escapes was able to find and make work together. I can definitely see the eye that he mentioned in his comments, like this is a brown or hazel colored eye.
I personally love this, excellent work!

Visionary Stone Sculpture Tentacle with Eyes

This must be something that we'd see in a video game, a large tentacle that is used to attack the player. And of course the eyes all over have to be able to fire off lasers or some kind. It's a perfect thing, too, if one wants to protect their yard.
Can you believe this is 7 feet and 3 inches? And managed to keep its balance even with these curves it has before he hid some mortar to keep the shape! Amazing work, it was so fun to get to see this.

Bluestone and Slate Sphere

First off, have I mentioned that Devine-Escape creates these designs himself? Just look at how nice this sphere turned out! How long did he have to work to learn all this? It's all amazing!
I personally love this sphere since it's so well made--all of the stone is worked to make such a nice curve all around. Excellent work!

I've always loved when people create things like this! Here is Devine-Escape's gallery so you can see more of his photos! And I'd be wrong to not mention his website as well!

Feature 160--KBDraws92

Image
Prompt: Valley of the Giants

Here's an amazing piece to start us off with this feature! In the art chat, there are weekly challenges to draw and this is KBDraws' response to one of them.
Can you just imagine crossing the mountaintop to come face to face with these furballs? I'd just be happy that they're both, currently, quite distracted. And just look at how well she painted the grassy mountains! Plus the way the water is splashing with the cat's lapping it up.
Not to mention, don't you almost want to pet those cats..? Better have a potion of growth or something so that they don't mistake you for some kinda plaything.

Treat Yourself to some Air

Man, I really understand this piece. Sometimes it's just too difficult, too much effort to go outside. Sure, I'm talking through the lens of Multiple Sclerosis, but KBDraws did a super job with this. How dead and drab the inside of the house is, aside from the characters looking outside. I can just see their dreaming of escaping, even for just a few minutes!
And aren't those tulips/flowers adorable? They do a lovely job in opening the invitation to just do something to get a little of the outside in.
Try not to leave yourselves trapped, friends!

Biblically Accurate Angel

I saved the best for last! This is another weekly challenge from the art chat and oh. my. gosh. didn't she have the best answer for it?
I am in love with all of the eyes here, something well seen on any description or image painted of them. And didn't she use the best character for the situation, too? I could just see them in this kind of pose and...moments later, asking if they may get out of the costume. After very politely waiting for the painter to be done, of course!

So I'm aware that you have to click the actual links instead of just the images this time. That's my lack of html knowledge. It was fun to see more than just deviantart, though, wasn't it? To see more of KBDraws92's awesome work, here is the link to her twitter gallery!

Good news: New glasses are at the office

Most annoying news: I don't have $108 or so to buy them yet. XD 5 days and I will! Then I can get back to work on the drawings!

Priorities are in perfect order at least. I'll be extremely happy to be able to draw and see more clearly. The eyes will quit aching when they're not straining so much.

Of course my vision plays up.

I mean reaaally, I'm not trying to work on a picture at all. Of course the feeling of a bar across my eyes and the vision being/staying a little blurry since is completely welcome!

Talked to my neurologist Friday and then went by the general practitioner today to check if I'm sick in some other way.

There are two good things out of this, though. My neurologist doesn't believe my eyes messing up has anything to do with my MS. And after tests, the general practitioner figures it's just allergies. (Sidenote: I am thrilled that it's just that. Usually I've got some minor infection every time, but the tests didn't show anything at all. ...I'm still thrilled. XD)

So now I just have to go by the eye doctor's office; since the neurologist would prefer I check that and get back to him about it all. It'll be a good idea too, what and how blurry things have been since the pain. Very hoping that I don't have to have another pair of glasses or any sort...

Very sorry that I've not had another drawing based image at the moment. With any luck, either getting the eye doctor's appointment will be quick or my vision will clear up enough to be able to play with my sketch.
