Built over a pond in Sims

I'm on a sims run, it seems. XD Got a neat little building idea that decided to generally work out! First time that I've ever built over water, that's just fun.

So now my farmer vampire has all the ground he could work with for his animals and his growing plants! Lovely! I'll be sure to share when the whole lot s designed up properly, I can't wait!

And this is what I have for this version at the moment. ^^ Can't wait to have the farmer test everything!

Sims 4 distraction

I was temporarily locked out of my email and this site last week. So I tried to distract myself by playing with Sims and creating a place on the center-right lot in Hanford-On-Bagley. (I think it was 2 Old Mill Lane before I moved my character in?) It's been quite fun to toy with it!

Also! Many thanks to James Turner on youtube for being my reference on how to get the base for an A-Frame to work out. My previous attempts didn't work at all for this lot and this house fit perfectly for a single sim!

I just played around til I got to water section to work out on this lot, but this video was helpful in figuring how to create a piece of a lake in back of this lot.

Feature 160--KBDraws92

Image
Prompt: Valley of the Giants

Here's an amazing piece to start us off with this feature! In the art chat, there are weekly challenges to draw and this is KBDraws' response to one of them.
Can you just imagine crossing the mountaintop to come face to face with these furballs? I'd just be happy that they're both, currently, quite distracted. And just look at how well she painted the grassy mountains! Plus the way the water is splashing with the cat's lapping it up.
Not to mention, don't you almost want to pet those cats..? Better have a potion of growth or something so that they don't mistake you for some kinda plaything.

Treat Yourself to some Air

Man, I really understand this piece. Sometimes it's just too difficult, too much effort to go outside. Sure, I'm talking through the lens of Multiple Sclerosis, but KBDraws did a super job with this. How dead and drab the inside of the house is, aside from the characters looking outside. I can just see their dreaming of escaping, even for just a few minutes!
And aren't those tulips/flowers adorable? They do a lovely job in opening the invitation to just do something to get a little of the outside in.
Try not to leave yourselves trapped, friends!

Biblically Accurate Angel

I saved the best for last! This is another weekly challenge from the art chat and oh. my. gosh. didn't she have the best answer for it?
I am in love with all of the eyes here, something well seen on any description or image painted of them. And didn't she use the best character for the situation, too? I could just see them in this kind of pose and...moments later, asking if they may get out of the costume. After very politely waiting for the painter to be done, of course!

So I'm aware that you have to click the actual links instead of just the images this time. That's my lack of html knowledge. It was fun to see more than just deviantart, though, wasn't it? To see more of KBDraws92's awesome work, here is the link to her twitter gallery!

Sims 4--Building in Del Sol Valley

I watched one of Lilsimsie's videos to get an idea how she builds her places. ...this time, it went better than last time I tried this. XD

Shell to begin

Started with a 7x10 tile space, beginning with her "Art of a Fancy Box". Should have gotten a look at how the back was but...it wasn't anything special yet.

I still didn't think to get a screenshot of the back of the house but, from this angle, at least you can see the chimney. Have to agree with her about how hard it is to build a chimney--this one had to have taken me almost an hour just to get right. (Where bits and pieces weren't poking at odd angles?) But with this success, the rest of the house ought to work out right.
...right?

Floor 1

I should have paid attention to the video. I could have left most of the rooms with walls coming from them...whoops! (What the floorplan is meant to be, right? XD) But I have to say that I'm in love with the kitchen area. I like it so very much more than some things I've been building.
Isn't it nicer, too, that I didn't choke the floor with a million windows like I do?

Floor 2

Bedroom and sitting area, with yet another nice bathroom. Need to build more of them as 3x3 instead of squishing so much down! (...Congratulate me, by the way? I didn't build this in Tiny Living. This is actual sized house. Maybe a little big by comparison but at least no cheated bathroom spaces! XD)

Brick House

And of course, what is one of my builds if I'm not falling all for the Vampire or Country Living bricks, right? I think it works perfectly for how this particular lot is lit.
After two or more hours, this is the last photo I've made on this one. Later on, I'll bring you back to get the yard set up in a decent way. (Isn't it just great how well this game does at burning time? XD) Y'all take care and see y'all later!
