Sims 4 distraction

I was temporarily locked out of my email and this site last week. So I tried to distract myself by playing with Sims and creating a place on the center-right lot in Hanford-On-Bagley. (I think it was 2 Old Mill Lane before I moved my character in?) It's been quite fun to toy with it!

Also! Many thanks to James Turner on youtube for being my reference on how to get the base for an A-Frame to work out. My previous attempts didn't work at all for this lot and this house fit perfectly for a single sim!

I just played around til I got to water section to work out on this lot, but this video was helpful in figuring how to create a piece of a lake in back of this lot.

So so many visits... (Sims 4)

So it started in the early morning. Tre, the vampire who lives off the grid on a small farm, was awake and taking care of his garden and animals when this showed up. Well crap, his source of money is getting knocked down, is it? Ugh...

One of the eight chickens in the coop right there was passing away, poor gal. And Grim was having nothing to do with Tre trying to chat with him at the moment. Pretty darn rude, don't you think!

(So things went on as they do but this time, Grim just did the cutest thing I've ever seen this game's version of death do. Scritches to the hen he's taking to the other side! Had to share it. It's always so fun how this character will often do something sweet with an animal that is passing.)

Meanwhile, because he lost a chicken, Tre apparently went kinda hysterical to the point that he absolutely had to do push ups for his broken heart and mind. And during this agony that he's living through, a rabbit friend had been taken to the other side. No headstone or anything either, mercy.

But this wasn't the end of this horrible day for this poor sim. Nope. Not at all! Just as Tre got the nerve to step back out and feed the rest of his chickens...

There the stealer is again, no cares to what Tre is trying to do at all. Sheez it's so rude. This is the majority of Tre's money during the winter months, WHY does Grim keep turning up! And right after taking this chicken, he comes back for yet ANOTHER!

...Dude!

And yeah. It's about here that my friend pops up with his so Helpful ways during this terribly trying time.
Friend: "I fucking burst reading the 'Dude. XD' message again. so indignant. so offended." And then merely seconds later, "XD you found a way to do the "Riches to Rags" challenge. just have Death slowly steal your income one by one"
As if  the Grim Reaper wasn't being bad enough right now, right? And THEN, as if all of this hadn't happened so very quickly, the camera pans over to a place nearby Tre's property...a fox collapses, taking it's final breath...

Poor little baby!

So Grim stole four of Tre's chickens and he had to take a fox along with all these poor things. How terrible to have to witness this whole story. And then there was this ONE MAN who stood somewhere just outside Tre's property, just waiting. Watching.

Felt like building a small place

 

Wanted to play with Tiny Living again and make an Off the Grid house. This is the tiny home that was built, one main room and kitchen, one bedroom, one bathroom. And if this one works for this separate file, I'm GOING to have to make a space like this in my main file...maybe without the porch though. That is easily 20 of the allowed hundred tiles that I didn't plan for. XD

This is the first shot of the main room. There isn't much to see in here on this image so thought it'd be a fair idea to share the workbench and the candle making space. There are going to be several more candles needed in this place, it's darker than I meant for it to be.

And after a couple more hours, here is the top down of the whole house. Managed to put several windows in (always a better light source than some candles, as you can probably see) and I personally like how the bathroom came out. Especially with how tightly I have the door to the bedroom and door to the bathroom arranged. More to learn for next time though!
You'll also notice a gramophone on the counters around the loveseat. Have to have to have a source of music or the game would drive me mad with itself. XD For the character's sake of entertainment, there's a small television straight below the loveseat.
The bedroom is on the left, with the bed folded up for the moment since he's not in bed. I'm so very glad that the game was kind enough to give him one of these beds that affords him 6 points of sleep! Thank goodness he kept the money for it, right?

Whatever character lives here is also quite lucky. Somehow I didn't forget the roof! Wouldn't it have been an awful place to live if the elements could just get in whenever they wanted? XD

Building these places is always a blast!

50x40 Lot in Henford-on-Bagley (Cottage Living)

It Starts

 
Have to admit that I've been eyeing this lot for a bit. It's one of the biggest spaces in Henford-on-Bagley and it was more than ready to be built on!
For this image, that's the bathroom nice and lit up--all of three tiles (thanks for bb.moveobjects on!) The Sim will be able to walk over the chosen shower instead of having to go through anything and can reach the toilet and sink. And of course the place has to be Off The Grid, right?

First image is just to share the excitement of finding a light that is bright enough for Off the Grid madness. Yes, a one floor Tiny House is only 32 tiles but it can be oh so hard to find a decent light source! Some of those that hang from the ceiling can be so gigantic, it's madness.
On the second picture, you can see the Murphy bed and two bookshelves, the bathroom, and the kitchen. There's a television hanging on the wall close to the bathroom that I *wonder* about, what and the place being off the power grid, but bah. At least there's a small chance.

The floor near the bed is carpet, it switches to tile for the kitchen and eating nook, then goes to a dark wood for a few tiles because I couldn't decide. It was still a fun thing!

 

This is the full size of the lot, since I realized that I'd forgotten to share that earlier. Even with the chicken coop and the cow's barn, along with even the little farmland space, there was still way too much empty area to just leave undone.

Doesn't it hold a lovely little lake? I forgot to stock it in my version but I'm certain it'd be a great fishing area if your sims enjoy playing at the water!

Sims 4 playing

I've been attached to Sims 4 lately and am a bit proud of a couple things that's happened. So I have got to share them!

First off, I bought Tiny Living lately. Have definitely been enjoying the cheaper utilities with it! The price for utilities for this small house is only 146 simoleans. So Tiny Living in Henford-on-Bagely has let me build a cute little farm!

Against better judgment, I also in the process of growing a Cowplant. Wish me luck, I have no idea how to keep it from eating Niko. ...Wish me so much luck, please.

It might be alright though. (Hah!)
Niko has gone and made friends with the Grim Reaper! Did you know that the Grim Reaper likes the color blue? No lying, he told Niko that himself!

So far, Niko managed to pay some money to Bess Sterling and eventually got paid back 20,000 simoleans. That's how I built the whole farm on an Off the Grid game without giving him a job? And now, the farm has been keeping him up with at least 1000 simoleans a pop!
When anything else important happens, I'll be sure to let y'all know.
