Sims 4 - Building another Small Home

Remember that I built a slightly larger home for a sim last time? Ever since doing that, the location right beside him was looking so so lonely. Someone had to step up and build something on that empty plot!

Base

So that's exactly what I did. Here's the base for the home, already at 89 of 100 tiles. It loses two whole tiles somewhere in the next few hours of building but nothing's really lost. For a tiny home, this is a perfect size!

Bedroom, Study, Bathroom

I don't know what it is about the ceiling fans, but they're always so fun to put in a bedroom. And this one had been begging for something from the top so this fit out perfectly. The Sim to live here is lucky to have a full bathroom beside the bed and a nice little study right below where they'll sleep. Nothing to stop the guests from wandering all around but isn't that the case for all Sims? Better keep that laptop locked up tight!
And threw a garden area in the yard because it was asking for something. Fits perfectly!

Living Room, Kitchen, Bathroom

Still in love with how that little dining area in the kitchen worked out. And the kitchen was surprisingly cheap for how I normally do everything. That small bathroom works perfectly as a small step-aside for both the kitchen and the living room so...hopefully that'll keep most of the nosy guests out of where they shouldn't be. (Hah! Such is the hope, anyway.)
Living area worked out perfectly too. There's a small stereo on the bottom right corner, a television in the center of the room, with a gosh darn comfortable couch and love seat surrounding the tv.

Roof and Garden

And here is the final shot of this whole location. Metal roof with a couple wind generators to help keep the price low. Isn't it such a steal at 34,331 simoleans! I'm sure that the line must be out the realtor's door, so who knows. Maybe you can nab this place as a second home with your sweetheart or it'd be perfect for a sim who is just learning to go around town.
Realtors are just waiting!

Sims 4 Tiny Living build

1st Floor bathroom

To show the first floor's bathroom, I added lights and made it dark so you could see details of this 2x3 bathroom. Yes, I put a wall to sink window here...Sims won't care about that, right? And since you no doubt see the ladder to the second floor, let's hop up there for a moment.

2nd Floor bathroom

Have I mentioned how much magic bb.moveobjects on is? Because without it, I could never get away with a shower in front of a door. Makes a perfect small bathroom for what is going to be a bedroom!

1st Floor finished

Got a little carried away with this so just took the screenshot after painting and settling everything. This floor has the kitchen and living room area, along with a table and laptop on the left. The painting job is a bit odd but I like it more than I should, so it gets shared. And this is almost the first time a rug doesn't have to be fought with just to make it fit!
...as terrible as the Sims can be for the characters, isn't it so great that it's cheap to get to repaint everything to their liking when they move in? XD So at least I get to share my painting choices.

1st Floor second angle

Took this shot since, for some reason, I decided that the desk and laptop wasn't well seen. Really glad to that it shows the entry that I finally settled on! This floor just didn't have enough windows, really. Thank goodness that the Sims is good at taking care of that for me.

2nd Floor finished

Here's the second floor. Bed and outdoor area settled nicely, plus how that 1x3 tile bathroom looks now that there's stuff actually sitting by it.
You'll also notice that a couple trees seem to have sprung up in the backyard. Decided that they look pretty nice so let them hang out there...especially that they did this without my permission! I was busy looking to the neighbors' houses to see what kinda plants lived there and, when I returned, these two were just in place. Tsk and tsk, right? XD

House and Yard

Pretty happy with how all of this fit! Couldn't decide what else to put in the yard, so maybe the sim that'll live here will enjoy the extra space. There's plenty of other places in Willow Creek for someone to actually go if they feel up to it.

So, the first thing I realize after finishing this build? I need to stop making houses out of boxes and just leaving them as boxes. XD Houses don't always just look like squares, after all! We'll see if I do this next time I build. Do I know why I'm so addicted to Tiny Living, by the way? ...nope, not at all.
I'll probably add this to the Gallery so you guys can fix it up properly--keep an eye out for CeraNecci to add Hollow Slough, if you're interested!

If you do this, please let me know. I'd like to see what y'all do with it!

50x40 Lot in Henford-on-Bagley (Cottage Living)

It Starts

Have to admit that I've been eyeing this lot for a bit. It's one of the biggest spaces in Henford-on-Bagley and it was more than ready to be built on!
For this image, that's the bathroom nice and lit up--all of three tiles (thanks for bb.moveobjects on!) The Sim will be able to walk over the chosen shower instead of having to go through anything and can reach the toilet and sink. And of course the place has to be Off The Grid, right?

First image is just to share the excitement of finding a light that is bright enough for Off the Grid madness. Yes, a one floor Tiny House is only 32 tiles but it can be oh so hard to find a decent light source! Some of those that hang from the ceiling can be so gigantic, it's madness.
On the second picture, you can see the Murphy bed and two bookshelves, the bathroom, and the kitchen. There's a television hanging on the wall close to the bathroom that I *wonder* about, what and the place being off the power grid, but bah. At least there's a small chance.

The floor near the bed is carpet, it switches to tile for the kitchen and eating nook, then goes to a dark wood for a few tiles because I couldn't decide. It was still a fun thing!

This is the full size of the lot, since I realized that I'd forgotten to share that earlier. Even with the chicken coop and the cow's barn, along with even the little farmland space, there was still way too much empty area to just leave undone.

Doesn't it hold a lovely little lake? I forgot to stock it in my version but I'm certain it'd be a great fishing area if your sims enjoy playing at the water!

This lot is shared on the Sims 4 Gallery, if you're interested in playing with or editing this
in any way; just look up CeraNecci and find 2 Olde Mill Lane.
Important to this lot: I have a Custom Content mod from Icemunmun in place to keep a Murphy Bed from fully killing a Sim. (icemunmun_MurphyBed_NODeath_override)

4-Story Tiny Living build, Sims 4

Outdoor and Sitting Area, floor 1

When you first go into this house, you're greeted with the sitting area to entertain guests and read or watch television in. And what house wouldn't have a fully operational bathroom in easy reach?  (Thank goodness for bb.moveobjects on! That's the only way that the sink, toilet, and shower works out in just three tiles. XD)

Outdoor and Kitchen, floor 2

Can you believe the kitchen has room for 3 sims to sit? It shocked me when that finally worked out--at least the Sim who lives here can have guests. XD He or she should be quite pleased with that, as small as I cut everything down to be...Fridge, counter, sink and a dishwasher underneath the counter so it has everything that a good kitchen ought to have.

Outdoor and Study, floor 4

In my eternal intelligence, I forgot to get screenshots of floor 3 (that floor that's only showing as brick with few windows). That was just a teeny bedroom and bathroom with a tub instead of shower. Nothing much to really miss...but just take a look at that nice study. Chess set, couple of bookshelves, computer, and an instrument on the left. I imagine that this is the space that the character who lives here would spend most of their time in.

I am clearly still having plenty of fun with this Tiny Living pack that I bought a little bit ago! What do you think of my first 4-story house? Would you have other ideas to try out? Let me know!

Sims 4, Tiny Living build

Inspiration here

This will be my build based on lilsimsie's 2-story Tiny Living build.  So let's get started!

bb.moveobjects on to the rescue!

This little 1x3 bathroom works out because there's a tiny wall-shower, like what you may see in a college bathroom. Since the sims can step through the shower instead of having to go around it, it's a perfect sized bathroom/wet room for these tiny living builds!
bb.moveobjects on is a well known cheat code to be able to make things go to a specific location...say making the bathroom door and shower share a tile instead of forcing me to work all around it. Really a great cheat for tiny houses in general!

Right here is showing where I placed a couple of tiny flowers on the corners of that outdoor walkspace. I'm quite happy with that 'genius' idea, myself and why should the sim care if they're probably never going to be interested in checking that out?
Will probably throw something else on that space but I don't know what yet. Also, you can see the general theme of how the outside area is going to look by the time I'm finished.

The Sims that live here are probably going to hate it but I have always liked the idea of a floor that mostly has windows all around. This is also upstairs. Surely there shouldn't be too many characters that can just stare inside, right?

Here is the finished upstairs. A Murphy bed with a seating area in that space above the kitchen (non killer bed because of a CC thing I picked up) with a television in front. Behind the TV and bookshelf is an easel and three bookshelves with a drawer underneath to place stones and whatnot, then at the bottom is a computer and ladder to get downstairs.
I swear that sims better not be using that bathroom more than the one I put downstairs. XD

This is the main area of the house with the front door just to the left of the bookshelf. Then a homework/eating area in front of the kitchen, right beside a room with a toilet. To the left of the ladder that goes upstairs is a couch and television area! I'm currently considering putting a wall-stereo just beside the couch, but we'll see.
At the moment, this house also gets the rank of "cheapest build I have ever created". Haven't decorated the yard or anything yet but it really shouldn't get too much more expensive!

By the last image, the price really hasn't gone up too much. This is still very comfortably one of the cheapest locations I've ever built. XD That isn't exactly what lilsimsie was pointing out with /her/ build but for me, it's one of the best things ever!

Another Sims 4 build

So. What is it about having a very minor surgery thing and the bandages they put on an arm that makes said arm itch. to. pieces?! The surgery was done very well and very quickly thanks to the doctor in charge. And,thankfully, everything is healing very well!
But I really can't tell whether it's the healing or the bandage that is causing me to want to scratch my arm to a nubbin of the length that it is normally. ...thankfully, bandage comes off in only a few hours! Maybe this torment will end soon! @@

In effort to distract myself before I destroy this arm and it's ability to itch, I turned to Sims 4 and built. This thing became a pretty nice a-frame house, unlike some previous attempts!

For a 1 bed, 1 bath house, this is expensive!

This would be the first time I've managed to get the A shape of the house down. Just not too good at working the pieces of roof, really? This home uses the roof pieces to put down the two walls on the sides of the house. Pretty worth it, in my opinion! (Many thanks to the Sims Magicians on Youtube for that trick.)
And despite the complaint about the price, at least this stuff inside here isn't going to break on the first use, right?

Top Down view of the house's outside

First off, no idea why I'm addicted to making the top of a house glass. At least it's sunlight in the place so hopefully, the power won't have to be used too much. (HAH! This is Sims. They clearly don't deserve their money, right?) Pretty sure that's what the game thinks since that tiny little bit of grass on front and back of the house is what pushed everything 'over the limit' for a starter house.
Unless you're happy to cheat since it's a 1-player game like me...

Real reason the price is so high.

I cannot force myself to buy the cheapest things for a house. There's no point to have to keep repairing a thing, it takes all the time away from the sim! So most of these things are mid-level or higher, meaning that they're in the 700-900 simolean level per each item, unless said things have a habit of *not* breaking so awfully like I mentioned.
But isn't it amazing what a bit of light colors can do for a place? Before everything was painted, everything seemed to be so smashed in. But now, it's actually finished!

Sims 4 playing

I've been attached to Sims 4 lately and am a bit proud of a couple things that's happened. So I have got to share them!

First off, I bought Tiny Living lately. Have definitely been enjoying the cheaper utilities with it! The price for utilities for this small house is only 146 simoleans. So Tiny Living in Henford-on-Bagely has let me build a cute little farm!

Against better judgment, I also in the process of growing a Cowplant. Wish me luck, I have no idea how to keep it from eating Niko. ...Wish me so much luck, please.

It might be alright though. (Hah!)
Niko has gone and made friends with the Grim Reaper! Did you know that the Grim Reaper likes the color blue? No lying, he told Niko that himself!

So far, Niko managed to pay some money to Bess Sterling and eventually got paid back 20,000 simoleans. That's how I built the whole farm on an Off the Grid game without giving him a job? And now, the farm has been keeping him up with at least 1000 simoleans a pop!
When anything else important happens, I'll be sure to let y'all know.
