Feature 145--Azurelly

Of light, harmony, and gallantry

This is a re-painting of a stained glass piece that Azurelly has done before. Personally, I like the eyes open version that she's done right here, full respect to the original one.
Isn't the design of the 'plate' just perfect? It shows all of the colors like stained glass would have, just look at the sun and sunlight behind the warrior, and I can almost 'feel' the texture on this as I look at it. Love his cloak and the flowers on the sides here, too. Great work!

Dancing in the dark

The wedding dance that happens in Final Fantasy 4. Could the sky have been painted any better? That moon is perfect and the colors all surrounding the two help the eyes to just go straight back to the couple. And just look at the design of the floor they're dancing on!
Love how beautiful this came out. Excellent piece!

A Healing Soul

Oof, poor Cecil in this piece, he really needs that healing being granted to him. Rosa was just something else in this game, being able to hold him together like she was able!
Cecil really does look like he fell apart here, doesn't he? Sword and most of his armor in the dark, behind his back. Fitting for what he is, what he would love to pull away from. The purple in this piece seems to be perfect with Rosa helping to bring it into a much healthier pink shade around herself and Cecil.

These three pieces were just the tip of the iceberg! If you'd like to see more of her work, this link goes to Azurelly's gallery. Don't forget to check out her folders along the top!

Another Sims 4 build

So. What is it about having a very minor surgery thing and the bandages they put on an arm that makes said arm itch. to. pieces?! The surgery was done very well and very quickly thanks to the doctor in charge. And,thankfully, everything is healing very well!
But I really can't tell whether it's the healing or the bandage that is causing me to want to scratch my arm to a nubbin of the length that it is normally. ...thankfully, bandage comes off in only a few hours! Maybe this torment will end soon! @@

In effort to distract myself before I destroy this arm and it's ability to itch, I turned to Sims 4 and built. This thing became a pretty nice a-frame house, unlike some previous attempts!

For a 1 bed, 1 bath house, this is expensive!

This would be the first time I've managed to get the A shape of the house down. Just not too good at working the pieces of roof, really? This home uses the roof pieces to put down the two walls on the sides of the house. Pretty worth it, in my opinion! (Many thanks to the Sims Magicians on Youtube for that trick.)
And despite the complaint about the price, at least this stuff inside here isn't going to break on the first use, right?

Top Down view of the house's outside

First off, no idea why I'm addicted to making the top of a house glass. At least it's sunlight in the place so hopefully, the power won't have to be used too much. (HAH! This is Sims. They clearly don't deserve their money, right?) Pretty sure that's what the game thinks since that tiny little bit of grass on front and back of the house is what pushed everything 'over the limit' for a starter house.
Unless you're happy to cheat since it's a 1-player game like me...

Real reason the price is so high.

I cannot force myself to buy the cheapest things for a house. There's no point to have to keep repairing a thing, it takes all the time away from the sim! So most of these things are mid-level or higher, meaning that they're in the 700-900 simolean level per each item, unless said things have a habit of *not* breaking so awfully like I mentioned.
But isn't it amazing what a bit of light colors can do for a place? Before everything was painted, everything seemed to be so smashed in. But now, it's actually finished!

Feature 144--IzARTela

Cancer

Always do enjoy someone's interpretation of how the signs of the Zodiac looks. This is great! Cancer definitely works as a ballerina and don't you just love the dress that IzARTela put on her? It's so pretty in those shades of pink.
She was inspired by Art Nouveau style when she designed this. Doesn't it just work for this one? And the change from arms to claws, from the hair to the part of shell on her head, just accents this whole piece. Excellent work!

Le chat avec des fleurs

Eee, this is a ragdoll cat that IzARTela owns. Hasn't she done a beautiful job in painting him? It really does look like you could just run your fingers through this one's fur. And those whiskers are 100% in the position of 'cat who is trying to figure out what their weird twoleg pet is doing'. I love it!
And when you can tear your view away from the cat's adorable blue eyes, aren't the flowers in front designed so perfectly? So very great!

Decay

I was immediately drawn to this piece because of how well it shows its subject. The mask is broken and always worn above the troubles and issues that one may have...is it any wonder that the mask itself might be a bit broken from what all it takes? And I'm fully in love with how IzARTela designed the torso and arms of this character. It just makes me wonder what is being hidden and how long the character has had to pretend to not be what they truly are. Love it!

These three works are amazing! If you'd like to see more, drop by IzARTela's dA gallery! She's done so much work to think about and enjoy. ^^
