Feature 216--NNEMUINEKO

Little Rabbit with the Star

All three of these are adorable but just *look* at these rabbit ears this character has! And that the star she has on her finger is what's giving us the light makes it just so perfect.
I find myself really focusing on her hair because it's so free flowing. I also really enjoy how well the artist made the colors set perfectly in the hair as well. A very good work!

Beauty and Butterfly

Look at how many butterflies are hinted toward in this piece, this character has to be sitting in the exact right location for these to be all around like this. In this picture I keep noticing how well her eyes were painted, aren't they just perfect?
And can we take a moment to appreciate how well she is against the background? The sky was created super well and the butterflies/plants all around really seem to center her perfectly.

Black Lady

A corrupted, adult version of Chibiusa from the Sailor Moon anime is what this is. And like I've gone on about before, Nnemuineko has some amazing talent when it comes to color. What power is this character using? Whatever it is, it's really helping the character's suit to seem just that much more dangerous and a bit more threatening. The way this picture was designed makes it pretty fun to imagine what all she was capable of doing in that story!

One thing true about all three of these pieces is that they're really cute! Click here if you want to see more of Nnemuineko's gallery!

Feature 210--Yugi-shirogane

Flame Soul

The fire flying around the character is super well done, in my opinion. And doesn't the painting on the scene all around just help show it off with the browns and reds?
And just look how well the character is posed; just like he was caught in the middle of a spin to make the fire go around him like it is. Amazing job with this piece!

04-Collei

I have always wondered how people paint eyes so beautifully! And I just want to run my fingers through her hair, it looks so very realistic.
This is a Genshin Impact character and painted so well in this fanart. All due respect for the work done here! And hasn't Yugi-shirogane done an amazing job on the plants closest to us? I enjoy this piece so much, thanks to her for sharing it with me!

Comm-Ace

Another gorgeous background in this image! He's clearly behind some city wall, did he write that on the right? Then again, he's just standing there with a smoke on this apparently chilly day. Maybe it's just easy to get to the place and be left alone for time to himself.
Again with the hair too! I'm so jealous about how these characters have such beautiful hair, Yugi-shirogane does amazing with it. And isn't it just something on how she can set up the clothing on these characters to be perfect seeming on the poses? Very enjoyable work!

These pieces are so well drawn and painted. It was so fun to see all of Yugi-shirogane's gallery, you have to check it out yourself!

Mom's desktop has certainly worked out!

Mom has asked for irises and roses so I'm still trying to plan that out, but hasn't this dogwood tree worked out! *squee* The tree and the daffodils worked together excellent!

Desktop has been declared complete by my mother (was painted for her so I suppose she gets to tell me this. XD) Totally thrilled with this!

Sky for Mom's new desktop

This sky was so fun to get to happen (And it was so fast too!). Gosh I've gotta keep a version for personal reasons. XD And I'm 100% whining that this sky has to be covered by the backyard painting that I was asked for, too. The agony!

Here is the reference I used as well, with the photographer's name on it. Thanks to Gary Yeowell for posting such a lovely image!

Feature 179--HammerWriter

Reyn Offers You a Gift

First off, I love the colors in this piece. The blue and teal in the background help set off the dark purple Reyn is and I love his hair. His eyes were super well done as well!
I wonder what's in the gift he's giving us? It's been wrapped up very cutely and I can't help but adore the bow that HammerWriter managed to put on it. This is all so well done!

Heart's City

I wonder who lives in the town so high? It almost appears that flight would be required to get up there...but maybe there's a way up hidden in the stone? The houses at the bottom edge of the rock are beautiful too. To just get a chance to live nearby such a place!
That sky is just gorgeous; I'm in love with it! And what do you think about the forest right on the edge of the road we're looking down? It is so lush! Beautiful work.

Izzy and Sisu's Halloween Confusion

Aah, to be on the way to a halloween party and meet up with someone dressed up like you. How embarrassing! I bet the two had a lovely time after the surprise.
Sisu is the dragon here and it really does look like Izzy had the right idea for her costume. She looks so cute as a mini dragon! Can't forget how pretty Sisu looks, pretending to be a pony too. It works perfect in my eyes. Lovely piece!

Amazing works, right? Here is the link to HammerWriter's gallery; you'll love what else you can see!

Feature 157--TheCunningCondor

Zany to the Max

These three look amazing, excellent work done on them. I do enjoy how the linework is, reminds me of how it would be on the show. Can't help but wonder what kind of madness came after such a 'photo' of them. Nothing would be allowed to be 'correct' once they showed up.
It's why they're usually in the water tower, anyway!
Excellent work!

Ai Ohto (Commission)

I've been just staring at this piece ever since CunningCondor shared it. Love the design and how those colors lead the eye all around, plus I have been squealing over how that blue hair looks. Doesn't this look like something you'd see on a good anime or something?
Looks like she's currently stuck in school, too. May she get to the rest of her day without a teacher or classmate being too insane!

Sakura Varient

Okami got into this feature, didn't CunningCondor do a great job with how Sakura looks in this? And it's so fun to see the detail on what is meant to be the canvas. (Love how it works, seeing that this is digitally designed and painted!) Do we eventually see this variant of Sakura in that game? Have to admit that I've never gotten too far...
In all, this was such a fun piece to get to end with, don't you agree?

This was some lovely work to write for. TheCunningCondor has both a DeviantArt and an Instagram gallery; it's certainly worth your time to go check them out!

Did a quick commission for someone! And what's on my mind.

This is a very quick commission I've done for someone, they were quite happy with the properly sized version! I don't know why I enjoy it so much but this was so very fun to do!

I have also done a brilliant job in putting off working on the Altera image. So yeah...all because of my lack of focus last week, I'm still at this point:

At my appointment the other day, my neurologist brought up a new medication for my MS version, too. It's another subcutaneous shot but it can be taken one time a month. Very interesting! And since I have had spells on my current medicine, maybe it's time to try things out? Have a couple of months to make up my mind, if the MS doesn't decide it for me beforehand.

But, so that I don't end this on a drab note, have you ever wanted to listen to wikipedia? It's a thing that was introduced to me earlier today and I've been sharing it since. It's so fun to play with!

Tracily Charging Bear flats

Character belongs to jameycakeshotty

So, got the flats together the other day! Here's hoping that I can get this finished soon. Miss Jamey has been waiting way too long for this. And I wonder if I'm going to keep that gray background--maybe not for her.
This site's Art page dislikes transparencies. Not too sure what to do about that, if anything at all. XD

One more day of Vacation Bible School to go. I realize that I didn't tell y'all about it this time around but I've just been all sorts of busy. It's been pretty fun, they have me helping cook or prepare our simple suppers then sitting with one of the classes for the little gals in the room. It's not been bad at all!
Today's supper is going to be a great and super easy one...pizza. They're going to pick up some pizza!

Then Friday I get to rest because it's Family night. Don't have to go at all on Friday...it's a shame to be finished with this year's VBS but I really can't wait to get to sit down and not have to go anywhere. So...whoo! It's been great this week. ^^

Tracily Charging Bear

Oooh, yay. A new commission! All I need now is to clean up the lines and to paint it, and this piece is going to be finished! ^^

Character owned by jameycakeshotty
Gosh it's fun to be back here. >>; Still have plenty of work to do with my tutor but it's nice to get back to work for others. XD

Whoo, lineart!

Posted it to the Art page a day or so ago, but I refined the linework a bit. This really is a fun little piece! Waver is standing on the coin that fell--or was ripped out of--the pouch in front of her! This little water-element fairy is a lovely little firebrand. A perfect T.T, according to the one who commissioned me! XD

Waver

A couple days late on posting but thrilled how this sketch has come out. Got a commission from a friend that shows his fairy character standing on a dropped coin and claiming it.
The money pouch in front is meant to have a tear but I'm absolutely thrilled with how this is coming out so far.

All I need now is to draw her wings and the mentioned rip, then can get to painting!

Ashley commission is finished!

So very thrilled, fdnbgonds was happy about how the commission came out! That's such a relief, it was fun to do the work and everything but there's hardly anything better than knowing that someone likes what you did for them! Since I bothered to show the sketch and lineart on the last post, here's a link to the flat and full color versions:

Flats: http://art.rachburns.us/2017/07/ashley-flats.html

Full Color: http://art.rachburns.us/2017/08/ashley.html

(No real need to post the images here since they're on the art page, right? Have to give some little incentive to go over there...)

I've been sitting on this picture for a few days, just looking at it. My gosh, the days flew! We had a lot of fun deciding the pose and his references were very good for the colors.
Would definitely draw for him again!

Commission 1!

So, after a slightly minor freakout because the save to my working file had gotten corrupted, I'm finally able to share the project I've been doing. XD This is one of the characters that I'm in the process of drawing and painting as part of my art sale.

Character belongs to fdnbgonds
She needs inked and painted, but that's not going to take long at all--as long as the darn save doesn't corrupt again! ...Yeah, I'm going to be keeping more versions in sta.sh from here out, without that one, I'd never have gotten a version to put here!

Update: She's been lined!

Would anyone be interested in a color commission?

I'm not ready to take one, as of right now, but I've been tempted to offer a sale for coloring a piece.

BUT, I'm not at all sure how to do this. Does it necessarily have to be for the linework AND color, or do sales for just coloring work?
On top of that, coloring is just about the most fun thing to do with an artwork. Would anyone want to give that up for pay?

Just a thought since most everyone seems to point out my coloring over my linework. It'd be pretty interesting if there's a market for this. (And maybe I should do a separate priceline for Background, Character, and Color. Mercy, I make things so much harder for myself. *facepalm*)
