Finally got finished with this! It was so much fun to work with the commissioner to get the colors chosen and to get things to work out. Would definitely work with him again! <3

Izzy and Sisu's Halloween Confusion |
I'm half certain that I've posted this image before, but I'm too tired to poke around. So just in case. Here is the final "Mountain Lake Reflection" image!
Thanks so much to all of y'all for being so great to keep checking on/giving tips while I worked!
As of now, though, I'm about to head off to get some sleep. Have a sinus infection that's going on and...well. No wonder I've been so exhausted and unfocused. XD Have had this thing for at least a month or so!
Have to say that I hope to see y'all on the 12th. You'll love my next feature!

Mountain Lake Reflection |
However! The island is as finished as I want it to be. All I need right now is to toss some sketchy paint on those trees in the background; hopefully those will be finished soon. I can't wait to be finished with this piece!
Edit: Mountain Lake Reflection is complete! https://art.rachburns.us/2021/05/mountain-lake-reflection-wip.html
Can you believe that the Mountain Lake Reflection picture is almost finished? I've been working on it so hard this past little while and I'm finally coming to the endpoint! There's only the rest of the rocks on the island near us until I'm done. And just look at how those rocks want to be!
I mean, as I come closer to the camera, I hope they won't be that tiny. But it's so exciting to see this one so close to being finished!
But isn't that just exactly why this site was created?
Honestly, I'm quite pleased right now. This is a terrible sketch but it's a great baseline for the painting it will become!
I've set myself a new challenge too. If I get over the cowardness to all of it, I'm going to attempt to paint with Clip Studio's new timelapse feature. Provided that works out, I'll just have to put it on the videos page...keep an eye out!
Edit: 19 second timelapse of getting the linework done!
