Feature 224--MeganDrawsaLot

Fox Fire

First, I love the background our fox/kitsune is in. We can just see the magics all around her in that cloud she's in. I also love the way that MeganDrawsaLot managed to get the fur and ears on this kitsune. Is her hand a paw behind her head? It would fit perfectly!
Those clothes that Megan put on her makes it work perfectly too. Everything sets off lovely and I feel like it's some great work. Lovely job!

Star Goddess

I love pen and pencil work! The darkness of space behind her and the brightness of the moon and the magic coming from her staff. And let's just look at the space woman. It's so fun how her halos seem to be just spaces on the moon, at least to me! That suit is also adorable; I personally enjoy the little 'wings' of the dress. It just fits so well that it's floating in the weightlessness in space!
Love this piece entirely.

Nine Tailed Goddess

A nine tailed kitsune! That means that she's supposed to be quite powerful, doesn't it? Either way, I really enjoy how Megan set this up! No wonder this one is a goddess! I personally love how the yellow touches in the red like it is and she's done a lovely job in letting us see her character so easily against those tails.
But oh my gosh those eyes are gorgeous! I also enjoy how her makeup has been done, the lipstick is beautiful and I think I'm in love with those dots on her cheeks, below her eyes. Excellent work here!

These pieces are just perfect for this feature; certainly go through MeganDrawsaLot's gallery! You'll definitely enjoy yourself!~

Feature 216--NNEMUINEKO

Little Rabbit with the Star

All three of these are adorable but just *look* at these rabbit ears this character has! And that the star she has on her finger is what's giving us the light makes it just so perfect.
I find myself really focusing on her hair because it's so free flowing. I also really enjoy how well the artist made the colors set perfectly in the hair as well. A very good work!

Beauty and Butterfly

Look at how many butterflies are hinted toward in this piece, this character has to be sitting in the exact right location for these to be all around like this. In this picture I keep noticing how well her eyes were painted, aren't they just perfect?
And can we take a moment to appreciate how well she is against the background? The sky was created super well and the butterflies/plants all around really seem to center her perfectly.

Black Lady

A corrupted, adult version of Chibiusa from the Sailor Moon anime is what this is. And like I've gone on about before, Nnemuineko has some amazing talent when it comes to color. What power is this character using? Whatever it is, it's really helping the character's suit to seem just that much more dangerous and a bit more threatening. The way this picture was designed makes it pretty fun to imagine what all she was capable of doing in that story!

One thing true about all three of these pieces is that they're really cute! Click here if you want to see more of Nnemuineko's gallery!

Feature 210--Yugi-shirogane

Flame Soul

The fire flying around the character is super well done, in my opinion. And doesn't the painting on the scene all around just help show it off with the browns and reds?
And just look how well the character is posed; just like he was caught in the middle of a spin to make the fire go around him like it is. Amazing job with this piece!

04-Collei

I have always wondered how people paint eyes so beautifully! And I just want to run my fingers through her hair, it looks so very realistic.
This is a Genshin Impact character and painted so well in this fanart. All due respect for the work done here! And hasn't Yugi-shirogane done an amazing job on the plants closest to us? I enjoy this piece so much, thanks to her for sharing it with me!

Comm-Ace

Another gorgeous background in this image! He's clearly behind some city wall, did he write that on the right? Then again, he's just standing there with a smoke on this apparently chilly day. Maybe it's just easy to get to the place and be left alone for time to himself.
Again with the hair too! I'm so jealous about how these characters have such beautiful hair, Yugi-shirogane does amazing with it. And isn't it just something on how she can set up the clothing on these characters to be perfect seeming on the poses? Very enjoyable work!

These pieces are so well drawn and painted. It was so fun to see all of Yugi-shirogane's gallery, you have to check it out yourself!

Feature 201--CaptainEdwardTeague

Luna and Sam happy idea

This is cute! Aren't these two meant to be in love, I think I remember something about it...I like how they're set up and it seems like they're just doing something normal, like more love based things should be. It makes them look like they've been together for a little while instead of just seconds ago.
And just look at the artwork! CaptainEdwardTeague has done a great job to draw the scene in the show's style. And let's mention how well the colors work out too! I really like this.

Luna "Ooooooh"

And here is Luna, fully surprised by something right in front of her, it seems. I wonder what happened for this kinda reaction? And I wonder how quickly her shock changed to something else?
Can I mention how I find the 'paperclip in the piercing' to be pretty interesting? Has she done that on the other side or is this a one piercing? To be fair, I don't know anything about the show...just their design choices and how Captain has chosen to take them for what she wants to share? Lovely work!

Izzys Swinging

This one is great isn't it! I wish I knew the show, but these two look like they're having a good time--maybe they're coming after a friend to join?
And the artwork is so fun. The grown version definitely seems like she knows what she's doing. Is she and the baby in the same frame, regularly? Have to admit that it would be interesting. So very fun to see, amazing work!

This was quite fun to go back through CaptainEdwardTeague's gallery to see what to share in this feature! She does an amazing job on these characters, check them out!

Feature 198--Interstellar643

Batman

The colors put in this image really has done a good job to bring Batman closer to the camera, in my opinion. I never thought about using a pinkish shade for such as this!
Can you see those wrinkles in the fabrics too? I love how they work and were built for this image. It's just been so fun to let my eyes go over the picture to notice little pieces that I hadn't seen before. So great!

Cat Sketch

I really do enjoy the linework used here! Isn't this the classic 'what?' look that a cat will give you? Just shortly before those eyes go black as night while the kitty thinks about a way to tackle your hand or a toe!
Wonder if this is a portrait of a cat Interstellar643 happened to own at one time? It's so very cute!

Working Girl

Here is another piece of linework that Interstellar drew. Isn't it so fun to see how they were able to share how the figure has some form; that the lady here actually takes up some space!
I enjoy the little tale Interstellar has in the artist comments--they had seen or imagined a lady who is on break and thoroughly enjoying that tea or coffee in her cup. Really enjoy this piece, very good work!

Weren't these three pieces great? To see more of Interstellar643's work, here is their gallery!

Feature 189--Salad1V

Safenea Porphyrogenita

This is a ruler who was born in the proper Royal purple. The text is Byzantine and Arabic cursive, as I understand from the artist comments. I really enjoy how the dress and the crown look; the jewelry on them were quite well done.
And the most interesting part of it all? She's a redraw of a character that Salad1V had designed previously. All respect for learning more on the arts! Love both versions, myself, so it was fun to share this.

Hypergorm head closeup

Another very very well designed bird/dinosaur! It's always fun to get to see these kinds of work, and this one has an excellent story about how the creature lives and how they'll lay their eggs before time to go back to their own lives. Definitely check it yourself, it won't be time wasted.
Amazing work here!

Pachonchi

I love how well Salad1V put together this scene! These two birds/dinosaurs look excellent and they are so clear against the icy sea they're in front of. And I would be wrong to not mention how well that sky was painted for the time of day it is.
Also, the bird standing in front seems to be in a perfect hunting pose. Can't you just imagine how this one would just bolt off at full speed for whatever creature it's eyeing so hard? Excellent work!

These three images were so fun to share! If you'd enjoy seeing more of this kind of art, Salad1V's gallery is right here. Enjoy yourself there!

Feature 183--Tomabird

A Day Off

This is a lovely piece, isn't it? I personally just love how she's just in her living room, not having to pay any attention to that folder of paperwork right beside her. And isn't the detail all around so amazing! I have got to learn how to draw characters as well as Tomabird did here. Look at how gorgeous he painted her skin and especially that outside the window.
Amazing work, it's so fun to come back and just get to enjoy this one over and over!

Descent to Niflheim

Descent to the world of the dead. I wonder what kind of madness has made this poor soldier have to go down into it. I hope she's prepared...with everything the creatures that survive in that realm can do to the living, may it be a short trip!
That background is perfect for this kind of travel, isn't it? It's like we're watching her pass through whatever portal as it's closing; while she's looking back to what was normal for the last time before she's 'eternally' stuck in that ice and dead realm.

In Simpler Times

And for the last piece in this feature, we get to see his lovely scenery in this area. It puts me in mind of how someone would remember a home that they're away from for whatever reason. Just look at how peaceful the whole area is and that water garden is just amazing in this light. I wonder if the area is a desert-like place? It's still very very pretty!
I wonder how long it took to create such a nice piece? Super work!

If you enjoyed this feature; you'll really enjoy visiting Tomabird's gallery. Check it out!

Feature 176--CrystalHanleyArt

Furry Commission

First, let me squeal about all that sparkle in that tone of background. I love how it was placed and how well Crystal balanced it against the character. Didn't she do such a lovely job in setting off the character with the white glow behind that gal?
Something my eyes haven't been able to come away from is just how very well she was able to paint the character's brown hair, too. Definitely looks like I could just run my hands through it all, with the character's permission, and everything would just fluff so very pretty. Loving this piece!

Tataru

There we are again with a lovely background to set the character against. This time, it really does help to bring Tataru forward and it really helps the eye focus, in my opinion.
The texture of the hat and feather and blouse also is so fun. Crystal did lovely in mimicking what the game shows with it all. And just look at how she did in painting Tataru's eyes! I personally adore them. What a fun piece to get to focus on for a little bit!

Sailor Neptune

Crystal mentions in her artist comments that she learned how to do eyes a bit differently for this piece. I can see it, it fits quite well on this chibi style. And it definitely looks like she enjoys Sailor Neptune with all the attention that this piece got.
I personally love how she managed to balance the shades of green on this piece without making them bleed into each other and losing focus or something of that like. It's not at all only the layers that Paint Tool Sai 2 has; she was able to see and show the proper shades in the skirt, wristbands, and hair. Lovely work!

You guys have got to see more of crystalhanleyart's work; so here's the link to her gallery. All of her work is just as amazing as what you see here!

Feature 172--stelladrawsart

Pink Lemonade

Can I just say how cute these eyes were painted? I love the reflection and the color fits so amazing with what the character is wearing. Especially with the pink hair above and in the back!
The little moon earring fits perfectly too. It almost looks like her eyes could be painted as if giving a respect to space itself? If that was an idea, it was super well done! And could I just mention how I love the linework that was done with this. Wonder how long it took, because it's great!

Fluffy Twintails!

Has anyone else fallen in love with how stelladrawsart creates her hairstyles? You can just tell how thick this hair is just by the drawing and painting style for this. And can I just mention how awesome she is at using those thin lines? She's always able to force those lines to do everything that she wants of them. Respect them.
But we have got to get to the painting too. This character's skintone sets off everything else she painted and helps the hair and those gorgeous eyes just come forward! Excellent work!

Shenhe

I admit to know nothing about genshin-impact, but stelladrawsart makes me want to know so much more. Just look how she drew this character, making her look so powerful just by winds and magic. And doesn't the scene look to be something hinting toward winter?
I must squeal about how well stelladrawsart handled the eyes again, and I think it goes without saying that she does such a beautiful job on the hair. Love and love this piece entirely!

You've seen these three pieces so that excites you to see the rest of stelladrawsart's gallery right? Here's the link, drop by and be prepared to admire some excellent work!

Feature 164--Estheryu

Day of the Deviant

My jaw just dropped when I saw this piece. It's gorgeous!
There was a contest going when Estheryu created this; I so hope that she won something from it! Just look at that halo of stars around her head, along with those beautiful clouds behaving like sheets and blankets just over her form. Or perhaps it's to show that it is more hidden in the heights of her mind? Look how she's reaching up toward those planets, too.
Love it!

Doodle: Sunflower Skull

These skulls look very interesting set against the sunflower here. Maybe a comparison of life and death? Or perhaps it's just what just happened to come together as she worked on this?
It's also very interesting how the gal has those blue gems...maybe she's Life and is bringing the sunflower out to show that even death may not be the full end?
This is an amazing piece and it was so fun to see!

Fight Fish

This piece is amazing! How many fish can you count in it? And doesn't all of the lines here seem to act like fish themselves; floating free in the air?
Estheryu definitely seems to know how to paint the fish perfectly in this watercolor. I wonder how long it took her to add the color to this? She mentioned that the linework was a sketch that was done in 2016, too.
Was excellent to get to see this!

It was a real treat to get to see these pieces! To see more of Estheryu's amazing work, here is her deviantart! Drop by and spend some time here; it'll be well worth it!

Feature 154--GPAD

Lumine

I am amazed with how well GPAD did the reflection and leaves floating around her. And definitely love how we're looking down at Lumine as if we are somehow above her, maybe in a position to help her out of the water?
Her hair is done very well but just take a look at those flowers! And isn't she in a beautiful dress? (Or maybe that's a uniform of some kind?) In all, an excellent work!

Noelle

Another very well done character! This is Noelle, from Genshin Impact and didn't GPAD do a great job of making her look right in position with this pose. Who would have imagined a maid-like character with sword and armor? And who else could have made her seem as interesting?
I'd be lying if I said that I am not just as captured by her pose as I am her outfit. At least it seems to be a quiet moment just for Noelle's party artist to get something on this day--thank goodness they had the right kind of quiet. Love it!

Lucy Nelson

Hope that the viewer here isn't meant to be some kind of troublemaker! And that Lucy is easy to speak with about the imagined issue...maybe she's the one who takes her job of guarding seriously enough and that's all that's happened here.
I definitely enjoy the pose, the sword is being held at what I assume would be a perfect angle. Is her suit meant to be something of a school uniform? Everything seems to be working out great, this is a lovely piece.

It was so fun to get to look at GPAD's work again; he's definitely kept his style in amazing shape! You'll find his deviantart gallery right at this link; go enjoy!

Feature 125--EmiDaWeird

Alisa Animated Icon

Please forgive me if you can't read that purple on purple, it's "Click Me I move". (It links to EmiDaWeird's page where she uploaded this cute little GIF icon; hers doesn't have such unforgiving purple on it).
And the icon is just adorable! I love how she styled the hair and especially that she was able to get the animation to work so cleanly. Especially with how the hair itself moves through Alisa's smile and hand sign!
It had to have taken hours. Such amazing work always does!

Vivian Barkridge

Speaking of more forgiving purple-on-purple images, what do you think about this one? I personally love that fire on the end of the broom and Vivian's clothes are tops! It definitely looks to be made of the same velvety material that we see actors wear. And her boots are a perfect match to the whole thing.
Love how EmiDaWeird got that hair to work out, though. It's totally black enough to be something of an afterthought while we look at everything else but this painting would have totally lost out without it!

Alisa Bosconovich

And this image is where I learned that Alisa was a video game character from Tekken. It can be so interesting to see exactly what kind of character can be dropped into a fighting game, isn't it?
I think that EmiDaWeird did a great job with the way the clothing comes together at her torso and waist. It all seems to make sense for this one! And those wings look very amazing. I wonder how they help her fly? Is it with jet power or is it some kind of magic to keep in line with those 'feather like' parts?

EmiDaWeird's deviantart gallery is right here. Click on that link to see even more amazing pieces and remember to check out her folders along the top!

Feature 124--Digsaw

Chameleon Girl

First thing that I've noticed about this piece is how the glasses look. They definitely bring to mind what one sees when they look at a chameleon--those big eyes and that short horn over their nose. (...in her hair, I mean. The glasses are pushed up. Isn't it so cute!)
Also, I love how this hairstyle curls like a chameleon's tail. Yes, she has one of those too, but the hair seems to be so perfect for the head design for this gal. A very fun piece!

Some pretty Gals

Can't argue with Digsaw here, this group of characters do look pretty cute. I'm most impressed by how every one of these gals have some form of personality that's so very easy to see! Dunno how he's done it but I do love this!

Fullmetal Alchemist - Human Sacrifice

This is such an amazing piece. I don't really know what all happens in Fullmetal Alchemist; but isn't the perspective in this piece just amazing? (Looking at the character's armblade and leg for example!)
Love the colors here, too. He's just forced even the darkest of color to be coming forward toward us!

If you've enjoyed this feature like I have, how about checking out Digsaw's dA gallery? I personally love his style and it's been a real treat to go through all of his work!

Feature 116--Confuzzledlion

Snow Princess

Confuzzledlion mentions that they were trying to get used to digital art with this piece. They did brilliantly with the 'snow' here, it looks perfect. But let's just look at the character: I really enjoy how well they drew and painted the pose and clothing. I love how they got the 'weight' of the clothing with this, the sleeve is drooping perfectly, in my opinion!
Let me just mention how thick the hair seems to be. It and that ribbon are both adorable!

Azumi Kihara

I may have said it once but it's still very true: I have all the respect for people who can draw and paint traditionally. Confuzzledlion did a brilliant job with choosing what colors to put on here--black and purple is always a great match in my opinion.
Especially when it comes out as well as this did! Could you believe that this piece was created from a random word challenge? Double the respect for being able to set things up so perfect and cleanly for one of those!

In Bloom | Redraw

A smile despite the tears falling from her eyes. Definitely makes me think that the character is pretty strong. And aren't those blossoms in the background just so adorable? They frame her so very well.
Let me get back into the hair again, doesn't it look so fluffy like it would be so fun to run your hands through it? (Maybe once she's not all teary, of course!)
As the title to this image says, this is a redraw of an older piece. You've gotta see how the first one turned out!

It was so fun to share these works! Love. Them. All. Confuzzledlion has an awesome gallery on deviantart, here's the link. Check everything out!

Feature 115--deKirbyGal

AT golddplatedd

The first of two art trades! This one is with golddplatedd. The character just looks amazing, doesn't he?  seems to be a vampire of some kind? I'm more caught in how awesome the hair looks. Would love to run my fingers through it, no matter the cost.
And let's just talk about how well the character is posed! I'm going to say it more than once, because it's true, but I love how she poses her characters for the images. He's in the perfect position to be someone that may be met in a danceclub or something!

AT wenldy

This guy looks like he's greeting us on a walk or something, doesn't he? That cap and the clothes he's wearing definitely looks nice; and that round pin makes me just want to keep my eyes on this piece longer.
Let's turn our focus on the background though. Isn't that starry sky just amazing? It looks so nice with that sky blue color at the bottom of the piece, slowly transitioning to the dark and starry night at the top. Absolutely love this!

will you take his hand?

And here we are to one of deKirbyGal's personal pieces. Not only is the sky just as adorable as the last picture and the transition just as nice as the other picture, I'm just left wondering if this guy is the reason that I'm looking up from the ground. After all, there has to be a good reason that we're asking if we want to accept his help...
His name is Helix and he seems to be a person from space? Or maybe we're in a space ship? Either way, I'd love to learn more about this character!
A silly question though. Maybe he knocked us down because we couldn't resist touching his hair, no matter how much he said no? That seems to be the issue with such cute fellows!

I had a whole lot of fun sharing this feature. To see more of deKirbyGal's work, here is the link to her dA gallery! Don't forget to check out her folders along the top. ^^

Feature 103--ColorfullyMonotone

Unoccupied School

This hallway looks so very morose and almost haunted. Why is the character having to carry some flame around? Why is the light out? It doesn't escape my mind that this could be from one of those games that you walk around, however cautiously, to help make sure none of the dead or brain controlled can hear you. Because becoming dinner is an awful thing.
I personally love the colors here. Especially just how dark things become as we back away from her light.

[Redraw] Warror of Stone

And here we are, now focusing on this lovely character with some more excellent lighting. I love how she looks and it's so fun to see her boots and forearms like they are. It's also so very fun to see how her hair is also partly stone! Excellent work here.
It's not enough to say about the rocky parts of her body. Just look at how the hair on her head came out! Oh my gosh, it's a perfect magma/reddish blonde color! Wouldn't you also have fun seeing more of this one?

Chilling With Your Pet

It's always so awesome to get to cuddle with a dog or cat like this! She drew it perfectly.
Isn't this just adorable? I personally enjoy how well ColorfullyMonotone drew the person in this. Could you imagine how difficult it was to do things this way?
Absolutely perfect image! Go to this one and thank her for sharing this one with us! 💖

Check out ColorfullyMonotone's gallery to see more gorgeous painting and fun artwork like these. Definitely enjoy your time there!

Feature 94--GPAD

Cocoa

This character seems to be from a 'slice of life' anime called GnochiUsa and didn't GPAD do an amazing job with the pose and color? I personally really enjoy how that flower is in her hair and her eyes are adorable. I wonder how long that bow around her neck took? But the tray and cup seem to finish the character perfectly. Excellent work!

Lucy Nelson

Swords and guns, the only thing that a character needs for their protection. Bet that she's good with them too! And take a good look at the perspective in this one. Everything from the gun in her hand and the turn to her skirt, to the hallway follows it! In my opinion, the light and shadow plays super well in this image and I really enjoy how it plays at hiding her face. I love this whole thing!

M14

I haven't mentioned in every piece, but doesn't GPAD do awesome with the hair in all of these? And I also wonder why this character is named the same as a weapon...granted it's anime. It could be anything. Also, I enjoy just how well that uniform has been designed!

I loved seeing the work that GPAD has done; it's always fun to see other artist's ways of drawing characters and how they play with the light in scenes. Here is the link to his deviantART gallery so you can enjoy all of it too!
