Feature 212--ArtofLotu

Caution: Be aware this artist's work is a bit creepy in its style. If you're not in the mental state to see this, please wait until the next feature. Thank you.

POWER

I do really love how this character is stepping up on that hammer. I like to imagine that they had crushed the creature that was using it, so this is a whole 'come at me!' pose until they start attacking the next one that goes after them. XD
Wonder what kind of area this character lives in? Are they small enough to be in the insect section of the ground or are they in one of the many layers of their hellish landscape? This design seems to work either way and I just love it!

Salloween Day 29--Elevator

Another image that's so very fun to imagine with! Is this child the costume that demon in back pretends to have or is it in the middle of commanding the kid? And just look at how well the elevator is set up to be so easy for the demonic shadow to live in!
And yes...if the child is just the costume, I can easily see it bringing prey into the elevator by making it seem like the kid is just terrified of things. Those poor sweet people who'd check on him...

Haunted

I can't help but think that this is the result of someone coming to check on that kid in the previous piece. The hair in the foreground looks almost like the soul of someone being slowly wiped out by that kid with whatever that light is coming from. It's so fun to imagine all these things!
Of course, maybe it's just that the character with green hair has stolen the soul of the person owning the hair. That one in the front of the scene, of course, having collapsed; stunned and slowly passing away while the character in front just takes off to find yet another victim.

I really enjoyed this artist's style and pieces! If you'd like to see more pieces with this theme, artoflotu's gallery is right here!

Feature 189--Salad1V

Safenea Porphyrogenita

This is a ruler who was born in the proper Royal purple. The text is Byzantine and Arabic cursive, as I understand from the artist comments. I really enjoy how the dress and the crown look; the jewelry on them were quite well done.
And the most interesting part of it all? She's a redraw of a character that Salad1V had designed previously. All respect for learning more on the arts! Love both versions, myself, so it was fun to share this.

Hypergorm head closeup

Another very very well designed bird/dinosaur! It's always fun to get to see these kinds of work, and this one has an excellent story about how the creature lives and how they'll lay their eggs before time to go back to their own lives. Definitely check it yourself, it won't be time wasted.
Amazing work here!

Pachonchi

I love how well Salad1V put together this scene! These two birds/dinosaurs look excellent and they are so clear against the icy sea they're in front of. And I would be wrong to not mention how well that sky was painted for the time of day it is.
Also, the bird standing in front seems to be in a perfect hunting pose. Can't you just imagine how this one would just bolt off at full speed for whatever creature it's eyeing so hard? Excellent work!

These three images were so fun to share! If you'd enjoy seeing more of this kind of art, Salad1V's gallery is right here. Enjoy yourself there!

Feature 176--CrystalHanleyArt

Furry Commission

First, let me squeal about all that sparkle in that tone of background. I love how it was placed and how well Crystal balanced it against the character. Didn't she do such a lovely job in setting off the character with the white glow behind that gal?
Something my eyes haven't been able to come away from is just how very well she was able to paint the character's brown hair, too. Definitely looks like I could just run my hands through it all, with the character's permission, and everything would just fluff so very pretty. Loving this piece!

Tataru

There we are again with a lovely background to set the character against. This time, it really does help to bring Tataru forward and it really helps the eye focus, in my opinion.
The texture of the hat and feather and blouse also is so fun. Crystal did lovely in mimicking what the game shows with it all. And just look at how she did in painting Tataru's eyes! I personally adore them. What a fun piece to get to focus on for a little bit!

Sailor Neptune

Crystal mentions in her artist comments that she learned how to do eyes a bit differently for this piece. I can see it, it fits quite well on this chibi style. And it definitely looks like she enjoys Sailor Neptune with all the attention that this piece got.
I personally love how she managed to balance the shades of green on this piece without making them bleed into each other and losing focus or something of that like. It's not at all only the layers that Paint Tool Sai 2 has; she was able to see and show the proper shades in the skirt, wristbands, and hair. Lovely work!

You guys have got to see more of crystalhanleyart's work; so here's the link to her gallery. All of her work is just as amazing as what you see here!

Feature 154--GPAD

Lumine

I am amazed with how well GPAD did the reflection and leaves floating around her. And definitely love how we're looking down at Lumine as if we are somehow above her, maybe in a position to help her out of the water?
Her hair is done very well but just take a look at those flowers! And isn't she in a beautiful dress? (Or maybe that's a uniform of some kind?) In all, an excellent work!

Noelle

Another very well done character! This is Noelle, from Genshin Impact and didn't GPAD do a great job of making her look right in position with this pose. Who would have imagined a maid-like character with sword and armor? And who else could have made her seem as interesting?
I'd be lying if I said that I am not just as captured by her pose as I am her outfit. At least it seems to be a quiet moment just for Noelle's party artist to get something on this day--thank goodness they had the right kind of quiet. Love it!

Lucy Nelson

Hope that the viewer here isn't meant to be some kind of troublemaker! And that Lucy is easy to speak with about the imagined issue...maybe she's the one who takes her job of guarding seriously enough and that's all that's happened here.
I definitely enjoy the pose, the sword is being held at what I assume would be a perfect angle. Is her suit meant to be something of a school uniform? Everything seems to be working out great, this is a lovely piece.

It was so fun to get to look at GPAD's work again; he's definitely kept his style in amazing shape! You'll find his deviantart gallery right at this link; go enjoy!
