Mouse sketch for next character sheet

A mildly tacky sketch but it shows exactly what's needed when I go after it with the tablet! Of course, I need to attach the torso to the hip and see what I can do about those feet (just got a hint to make them seem like not high heels like the reference). Plus those evil hands that have to be positioned right. XD

What I'm planning to do is something similar to how I did Norux's character sheet. One with Alexander posed (like this sketch) and one with him standing straight just so we can see detail! It's going to be so fun once I get to it.

Feature 174--bee-yu

Ocean inside my head

Oof, I feel this one. Being pulled underwater, so one can only struggle against too many arms holding them under, running out of breath. Running out of time...
Didn't Bee-yu do a lovely job showing the edge of the water on the character's face? Showing us how hopeless fighting against all of this is? This is why someone else; having the courage to reach into the water and grabbing the trapped person, fighting against the thoughts and strength keeping us down; can never be thanked well enough for the rescue. Because that's exactly what it truly is...

Sad elf with roses

This poor lady! Was she left at the wedding altar? That dress sure looks like it...so she's stuck there, still holding the flowers that she had to carry up the path, poor thing.
Also, look at how beautiful her hair is! It almost looks like you could run your fingers through it, if the elf would allow. And doesn't the see through sleeves fit perfectly with the way this dress was designed? I love it! That white dress is also catching so much color, it's so gorgeous.
Excellent work!

Etiennie, the knight

Look at all the blood on this armor...may none of it be the soldier's! What kind of battle is Etiennie still in the middle of? I put my money on the fight not being done because what other than the foe would be getting that look in this moment's breath?
I absolutely love how the sun is shining on the armor, as if the clouds all around are just starting to crack. And just look at how the cloak seems like it's almost as heavy as the blade at the moment. May Etiennie catch breath in time to crack the enemy into many pieces!

Weren't these three pieces amazing? If you'd like to see more of bee-yu's work, you'll find the gallery here. Check everything out!

Feature 149--waitthk

Genie of the Lamp

This image draws my attention to the smoke and grassy details first. Only then do I see how well designed that lamp is!
When attention is drawn away from those, I immediately see how relaxed the genie appears to be, like she is purposely resting instead of instantly going to her feet. Can't blame her for that, if the person who freed her will be specifically rude about it, it's a perfect way to choose how well or poorly the wishes shall be granted.

Day of the Deviant

DeviantArt regularly does a 'Day of the Deviant' fun day-week. This is waitthk's answer to it! I have personally fallen in love with how they drew the witch-like character flying around to make deliveries. I can't help but agree with a comment they got on this piece, this does look very much like something I would expect to see from Studio Ghibli.
It's not even just the colors. Take a look at how everything in this was designed. Amazing work!

Girl in Holo Jacket

Love love love how the jacket reflects the color like it's doing! I wonder how long it took to get it to paint and blend like it has right here? Of course I'm 100% in line with how metallic-appearing the less-colored areas are. And it looks to be much warmer than a windbreaker too!
The girl's eyes are perfect to go with her blonde hair and how the rest of the colors work out. But I can't help but wonder how long it took her to get her hair pulled up that way? It's perfect!

Weren't these images great to see this week? To view more of waitthk's artwork check out their deviantart gallery! Don't forget to check out their folders at the top, like I keep saying. Don't want to miss anything!

Feature 127--sadpacific

this will end

First, I have to go on about how Sadpacific did this background. I've got a general idea of how she did it, too, so I'm super glad that it worked out! But let's just focus on the character here; haven't we all just gone a little 'blank' while looking at something?
I love how well she was able to get the folds in that dress, especially those sleeves! And take a look at how the hair was painted.
This is a really nice piece!

wild roses

Looking at the dA piece, this seems to be a confession of love! The characters chose the best place to talk about this; in the dry grass not that terribly far from the sea.
I wonder what part the elf in gray has in the D&D game they're used in? And the lady seems to be a little surprised by the guy's confession. Cute!

we're going places we've never been

We finally get to see three of these characters! I wonder if they're the only three in the party at time of drawing? Or maybe we just don't see everyone because the horse takes up so much space? Still! This is a perfect way to set up a traveling scene, in my opinion.
And I think that Sadpacific chose the perfect background for this. Where else do we expect to see elves start their trip than in a forest? And I wonder what position the character on the horse holds in the game. He or she definitely appears to be an archer but that's not the only thing that can be done by a character, right?

These three pieces were enough to convince you to see the rest of Sadpacific's gallery, right? The link is right here! Don't forget to check out her folders along the top, they're well worth it.
