Feature 174--bee-yu

Ocean inside my head

Oof, I feel this one. Being pulled underwater, so one can only struggle against too many arms holding them under, running out of breath. Running out of time...
Didn't Bee-yu do a lovely job showing the edge of the water on the character's face? Showing us how hopeless fighting against all of this is? This is why someone else; having the courage to reach into the water and grabbing the trapped person, fighting against the thoughts and strength keeping us down; can never be thanked well enough for the rescue. Because that's exactly what it truly is...

Sad elf with roses

This poor lady! Was she left at the wedding altar? That dress sure looks like it...so she's stuck there, still holding the flowers that she had to carry up the path, poor thing.
Also, look at how beautiful her hair is! It almost looks like you could run your fingers through it, if the elf would allow. And doesn't the see through sleeves fit perfectly with the way this dress was designed? I love it! That white dress is also catching so much color, it's so gorgeous.
Excellent work!

Etiennie, the knight

Look at all the blood on this armor...may none of it be the soldier's! What kind of battle is Etiennie still in the middle of? I put my money on the fight not being done because what other than the foe would be getting that look in this moment's breath?
I absolutely love how the sun is shining on the armor, as if the clouds all around are just starting to crack. And just look at how the cloak seems like it's almost as heavy as the blade at the moment. May Etiennie catch breath in time to crack the enemy into many pieces!

Weren't these three pieces amazing? If you'd like to see more of bee-yu's work, you'll find the gallery here. Check everything out!

Feature 171--DTKinetic

You Just Might be Okay

This is a piece that shares the floating crystal overtop a Sim's head. Wouldn't it just be absolutely perfect if we had something to actually show us our moods; considering how difficult it can be to break through one of the worst downtimes?
And just take a look how well DTKinetic painted this. The character trapped in such darkness but the little doobob providing the light that shows the character should be okay eventually. How the character will eventually crack through this dark point. It's lovely!

Monolithic

When I saw this piece, my breath was taken from me for a moment. The city goes back into the background just perfectly, and just look at how well the city lights itself! And these two cars in the very front are perfect for such a place.
Those clouds coming up from the background were just perfect to help share the streetlight in the foreground. The lights in the buildings perfectly show the busy times and hours of a never sleeping town. Love this whole piece!

Hybrid

Just look at the gorgeous painting talent that went into this one! The colors just brought me straight in as if saying, "Welcome, friend! Kick your feet back and rest for a time." And it'd be so worth being able to get a vacation in such a place.
The cacti and palm trees in the front are gorgeous and I'm always drawn in by such a gorgeous lake; like what has been painted on the right. And getting to the town in the background would still be a lovely trip, going through the pine forest on the left while you followed an old, dirt road.

If you've enjoyed these pieces and would like to see more like them, DTKinetic's dA gallery is right here. You'll find many many more landscapes, architecture, and just so many cute characters to check out!

Feature 169--Musbasement

Gladiator

Musbasement puts a very interesting sentence in the Gladiator's artist comments: "The freedom of the gladiator is covered with mountains of corpses." Doesn't one just have to climb the highest upon all the death he left behind?
But let's now focus on the artwork because I love the way he painted the anatomy here. And the character is so pale too...maybe his amount of killing has almost erased his humanity? It almost seems so with how his face has been so distorted. His honor came at such a price. Was it so worth it, now?

Donna of the Deep

I agree with a comment on this one--it definitely seems like a masterpiece!
This character, whether alive in some undead form or not, fits the scene beautifully. And I really like how it's sitting on what appears to be a long sunken anchor. Look around, too; do you see the eyes that I imagine belong to the rest of the ship's crew when it crashed down to the bottom of the sea.
Can also see it as this one is what fights the ship down into the depths. It would explain why he's sitting in such a commanding pose over everything that's been eaten by the sea plants!

Hakamori

I keep wondering what kinda character this is. Looks like he could be some kind of rogue, to me. One that keeps himself hidden by song and dance. Wouldn't he be something if he were instead a magic user of some degree, too! I could see that stick being used that way, like some kind of staff. Why wouldn't he know how to make it dance with him...maybe that's part of why he's in shadow, too. A more sneaky way to fight or just trap someone if they came to watch his shows?

These pieces are all amazing! To see more of this Musbasement's work, his gallery is right here. Be sure to check the rest out!
