Feature 230--Artoozy14

Toa Tahu

A character from BIONICLE, apparently a video game and Lego characters! I wonder what this one's job is, if they're "construction toys". Or does that mean that you're meant to build them to become like the figure designed here? For Lego, it could be either way...XD
I absolutely love how we can see how the shoulders and hips are made to move and that sword of his is very fun. Absolute respect for Artoozy for being able to create something that seems so robotic!

Be Strong!

This character is so fun! Is she maybe to help inspire exercise? Maybe just someone who wants the regular strength a person needs so she can make it through her scenes or life? I can see it going either way for her, especially with that lovely yellow she wears.
But just take a look at how nice Artoozy designed her hair! It looks perfect to help keep out of her face and of course lets us see those shoulders and arms that she's posing! Very very fun work!

Littering Kills

If you're signed out, deviantart may not even let you see it anyway since Artoozy14 put a mature content warning. I'm following their lead for my site, you may not want to click through if you're not in the right mind state.
But I have to agree with their argument that littering will and has killed several animals in the oceans and on the lands...this was a great poster to help people maybe think about it. As for the art, it's very beautiful, I personally love how it shows the dolphin 'crying' with the water splashing from it after breaking the surface. And the sky is still super well done, like we can't see what's below if we distract ourselves with it.
Good work here, Atoozy14!

Aside from that last piece's caution, Artoozy14 has some really lovely pieces in their gallery! Link is here, do enjoy!

Feature 169--Musbasement

Gladiator

Musbasement puts a very interesting sentence in the Gladiator's artist comments: "The freedom of the gladiator is covered with mountains of corpses." Doesn't one just have to climb the highest upon all the death he left behind?
But let's now focus on the artwork because I love the way he painted the anatomy here. And the character is so pale too...maybe his amount of killing has almost erased his humanity? It almost seems so with how his face has been so distorted. His honor came at such a price. Was it so worth it, now?

Donna of the Deep

I agree with a comment on this one--it definitely seems like a masterpiece!
This character, whether alive in some undead form or not, fits the scene beautifully. And I really like how it's sitting on what appears to be a long sunken anchor. Look around, too; do you see the eyes that I imagine belong to the rest of the ship's crew when it crashed down to the bottom of the sea.
Can also see it as this one is what fights the ship down into the depths. It would explain why he's sitting in such a commanding pose over everything that's been eaten by the sea plants!

Hakamori

I keep wondering what kinda character this is. Looks like he could be some kind of rogue, to me. One that keeps himself hidden by song and dance. Wouldn't he be something if he were instead a magic user of some degree, too! I could see that stick being used that way, like some kind of staff. Why wouldn't he know how to make it dance with him...maybe that's part of why he's in shadow, too. A more sneaky way to fight or just trap someone if they came to watch his shows?

These pieces are all amazing! To see more of this Musbasement's work, his gallery is right here. Be sure to check the rest out!

Feature 132--Onililyn

Sea Wolf (DTIYS)

I had to look up what DTIYS means; it's "Draw This In Your Style". There doesn't seem to be an example what she used as a reference, but I love how Onililyn painted that wolf in the waves, lit up by the moonlight!
That eye makes me think of the full moon's glow on all of the water. And it's beautiful how this wolf is howling as the wave comes down. The water is probably built up and pushed over by the power of the wolf's voice. (Voices? I would bet there's a whole pack in the sea here!)

Iris

Loved this piece when Onililyn showed me. Isn't this exactly the pose of a cat who has an expectation of it's person? And goodness knows that said person should already have learned several times over what is wanted.
Isn't this the most adorable kitty, though? I adore its fur pattern and do you see those gorgeous eyes! Now the big question. Is the cat's name Iris or is it just sitting in the middle of a flower patch? Might also be its favorite place to sleep, too.

Southern Loners

Have Korra and a dog that I believe is Naga. Oniliyn did an amazing job with designing and painting this whole piece. Didn't she do amazing with how she did all of the fur here?
I absolutely love how well she did with painting all of this. It's gorgeous! And don't forget to check out this piece's comments back on Oniliyn's dA page! They explain some about how Korra had to grow up alone and all of that.

These three pieces were so amazing. I am personally in love with how Oniliyn designs and paints her work! Here's the link to her dA gallery, go check out the rest of her art!
