Art mind is back and throwing thumbnails!

This was a fun little thing to play with. It's going to help make a very nice painting by the time I'm finished! Now to start painting for details and all of that.

Commission wip!

A WIP of a commission I've been working on recently. The commissioner wishes for several Wild Pansy flowers to be painted here and I added the mountain in back. When it's time to play with things, I'll attempt to mimic some clouds like what Studio Ghibli designs--they're always amazing!

Will keep showing things as I line and paint this. It's been so fun so far!

Elder Scrolls Oblivion and about Monday

I have none of my art to share today--but, I am going to finally get to grayscale Norux like I had been planning to do earlier. Silliness aside, I'm going to definitely share any grayscale/lighting that comes out. It's just super late on Wednesday that I cannot get anything in order at all right this moment.

However! A friend has surprised me with Oblivion (the game before Skyrim!) and I've been quietly making my way in it.

My character seems to be an Agent, (at least, that's what the character told me) though I needed to adjust a slight couple of things to make my own character type. I want him to learn to be a Destruction magic user who tends to rely on his fire like magic. So far it's been pretty fun!

Here he is just after the emperor died, hadn't given him any new clothes at the moment of this screenshot. This character's a dark elf, just cause I didn't want him to be yellow. And I can't help but love the eyes. XD
So far, I've just helped the new emperor get up to the space of protection (Cloud Temple?). The mess getting out of the castle was fun. So that was entertaining so far. I'll try to remember to bring new screenshots when something silly enough happens to need one.

As for Monday, I will not be able to post the next feature until the week after the 18th. I have a sleep study to be done and goodness knows it's going to distract me all weekend. Wish me luck on sleeping with all those little things attached to my head, please. XD Hopefully, I won't be taking those little bits attached to the wires from my scalp while I snooze!

Hey, the artblock is dead! Plus, Kesimpta 3!

Absolutely thrilled that some drawing has been able to happen! I could complain about how the drawings aren't showing the right perspectives...but no. I'm too thrilled right now that I was able to any drawing at all. This is some of my stone formation studies that I should have been working on forever.

Of course, the Artist's Ego is singing about every one of these. XD It's been almost an age since I've been able to relax and sketch/draw! No thanks to being so anxious about starting on the new medicines and everything...

Speaking about new medicine, you guys see that I have this titled Kesimpta 3. I took my 3rd loading dose on Wednesday! This means that I skip a shot on this next coming week and...the Kesimpta becomes a once a month medicine on the 8th!
Can I tell you how exciting that is? ...I won't have to face that (barely hurtful) autoinjector but once a month! Whee!

So...starting a black and white version of the room

Realized that I forgot a very important step in the painting process...finding where the light and dark are! So here is grayscale version 1. Hopefully this will work out properly!

Thanks for much help so far, Art-of-Akrosh!
Right now, I can tell I've overshadowed that bookshelf. If the shadow was that strong, the photos would be draped in darkness. And Cera is nothing like my Shadow Oracle, she doesn't care for them that much. XD
I think that I have the right shadows on the bed and bookshelf. Hoping that the shadow on the rug is right too. Will find out soonish!

And I definitely have to put dark and light on the walls and floor before I'm finished...then I can get back to actually painting!

Edit:
This will be the version that I play with on the flat colors. Wish me luck!

Two things on the Surrounded image!

1. Valeon's boots have been fixed. ...You'd think that I could be pleased with changing them now and again, but nooooo. XD Made me hesitate far too long before I could really get to the next step.

2. The beginning of grayscale! The light source is perfectly visible, if not just barely above the mountainline, and I've got an idea about the time of day. Morning, just before the sky is fully blue. It should come out pretty fair, if it does what's in my mind.

Therapy. And Tre's values are DONE!

First, I've been mouthing about therapy here and again. Today went great. There's been a noticeable improvement for my balance and left hip at this point--which was very much needed. Thanks to those at Therapy Plus for helping me get this far!
...I almost wish that I had more than two weeks left. It's nice to go there and exercise, the people are great (and very much fun) and it's nice to be able to use the stepper that they put me on!

I'm thrilled with how Tre's turned out so far, too!
Fairly sure that the coloring will defy some of this valuing, I can tell a little bit of it doesn't reach dark enough, but it's so nice to have an idea! Some color should be...I don't want to say 'soon', as long as it's taken me to do this bit, but there will be something coming in the next few posts. ^^

I hope the rest of the grayscale comes out like this one!

(Edit: Oct 27 post)

He'd be a little better if I knew how to detail the jeans more but right now I'm very happy with how the front facing looks. I plan to change the light source on his side view, to make it come from the right and if that works, I'll try to change up the source on the other pieces.

And oh my gosh, I'm going to have such a fit if my painting doesn't come out with these values!

Edit Oct 24: A bit more grayscale was done. If I keep going at the clip I am now, the rest of it ought to be valued soon!

'Get Off Me!'

I have decided that lineless coloring IS going to work for this. It's going to be one sap of a fuss to do, but I'm doing everything else the hard way, so why not! It's been a little while since I've tried lineless anyway. It'll be fun!

All complaints aside, I'm very much enjoying this piece. It's coming out bit by bit, no matter how "not quickly". So that's plenty to be happy about. Valeon himself don't like me right now but he's just going to have to get over it. Everyone has trouble and that includes him! XD

Edit 1: Thumbnail shading. Oh My Gosh, I am never going to do a picture without thumbnailing again. @@ The colors ought to work perfect, now!
And now that the basic shading is in order, I should be able to paint everything like it ought to be.

Edit 2: Forgot the use of white! Adding that into the picture really brings everything out properly!
