Feature 209--glyphdragonix

When Two Meet

This looks like something we could see in a video game or something and I love it! There is so very much detail on everything, too, which is amazing. I enjoy how that road behind the fishbowl character came out and all that near the moon looks like they put a whole lot of effort into this.
As much as I enjoy being able to see so much detail, though, I wonder if it isn't a hair too much? Only because it makes it a bit harder to appreciate the main focus on the characters. Otherwise, this piece is fully amazing and they did a lovely job!

Underneath the Oak

Glyphdragonix has a nice little story underneath this piece, so I must suggest that you click the image to go to their piece so you can see it too!
Back to the artwork though, those clouds in the sky are amazing. Same for the trees as a whole but I have to give special mention to how they've done the leaves. It just makes me want to grab a handful of them and run my hand down the bark. It would also be amazing to touch that gryphon, provided it wouldn't be offended and take a bite out of me for the rudeness. I really love this piece, excellent job!

Circle City

Can you imagine putting a piece of a city design in a sphere like this and make the perspective work as well as here? I have so much respect for this piece, especially since it was made traditionally. And the buildings and bushes just seem to come together perfectly here. They say it only took one and a half months to finish this piece, too. They must have so been in the zone and it worked out perfectly!
Super work here, I'm so happy to have gotten to see it!

Weren't these three pieces amazing! Glyphdragonix' gallery is here so you can see even more of their work.

Vae's War Room, complete!

I had so so much fun on this image and seeing it finished, is just amazing to me. Five months went into this piece, off and on. ...That seems like a challenge to me, now. Can I do things as quickly later? We'll have to see!

Also, my friends have finally talked me into starting some study pieces--just sketches, mostly, just trying to copy a reference. In an hour or less. (I was just talking about 5 months...how am I going to do anything good in an hour? XD) I think it's really going to be fun once I finally get into the idea of it! Will probably throw them into the Sketches section of my art page?
Just as some kind of proof, I guess. Please wish me luck!

Vae's War Room wip

The base of the wall is now gray, which will appear to be stone like the rest of the wall when I finally get to finishing it. Got a tip about my shadows and brought them to be darker and it worked out great.

Oh gosh, I have to get back to shading the rocks on the far wall. It's going to take forever and will work so lovely when I finally do it. But that's part of the fun of drawing and painting: finding everything that can be worked on instead of what absolutely needs to be done to put it off as long as possible.

Vae's War Room wip

Now all that's left is the shadows, whenever I escape Sims again to do it. XD Thrilled with how the details have worked out, especially that stone wall! (...had so much trouble til I remembered that Clip Studio has brushes for this kinda thing...)

It was quite fun, too, to figure out how the floor should work out around that tree stump as if Vae had built around it. Now I wonder what his story was behind keeping it! It'll be fun when it's figured out.

Vae's War Room wip

So proud of how that screen worked out but I wonder if the letters are too straight forward? So happy with how the rest of it looks now! <3 Just have that floor and those walls to work with before they can be shaded.

It's taken almost an age to draw this up but I've been having so much fun. <3 Next time y'all see it, the walls should have the right texture!

Well oops. Meant to post this on Thursday. Y'all can take this for a 'Thursday' post if I don't spam with more sims, right? XD

Feature 173--azureheim

Half Orc Rogue

This character appears to be so fun to play! Azureheim created her when he was playing a dungeons and dragons game with his friends and I so wish that there was a copy of the story to get to read.
The leather he painted as her armor looks very stiff, like one would hope a leather armor to be when facing swords and even knives like she's holding. Aren't those also drawn and painted super well? Excellent work; love her!

Dwarven Warrior

How do you think Azureheim managed the armor that this dwarf is wearing? I personally really enjoy the chainmail that's under the arm and legplates. It looks perfect in my opinion!
And what do you think about how that scar was handled? What other scars is hidden by all this metal? Also have to just squeal; just look at that beard! It looks so thick!
Super enjoy this guy!

Female Paladin Cell-shaded

Speaking of armor, he gets us again with this lovely paladin. I wonder what gods or, dare we guess the possibility, what devil is powering her ability to fight?
We get to see a touch of chainmail that was put on this character. Is it a specific brush that Azureheim found or created? I can't help but love that bit of texture it lends to the whole image! And just look (and drool) at the fabric coming down from her belt. Looks like it'd be perfect to make it harder to keep up with where she is--is she being watched or is how the fabric dances keeping the foe's attention?

Love the way that azureheim set up these characters, they're so fun to imagine stories and what they meet for! To see more of his awesome work, check out his gallery here!

Feature 122---Danish-The-Menace

Pizza Thief

Before I go into the story for this image, just look at how many characters are in this! 11 characters. The story in the picture is entirely clear, too. Be sure to go to the dA page since there's a story in the artist description! (With all the character names listed.)
The character in center is swallowing all of the pizza on that table. Is it any wonder that the character on the left is having to be held back? That the character on the right is covering the eyes of that little one on his head?

We're Gonna Need a Bigger Net

This is just fun to get to see. The two people on the left were told that they needed to catch a cat. Whoever would have expected it to be a cat person with a sword?
...These two should probably just throw a few dozen heavy blankets over this cat so they can grab and carry to a very different area. They'd have at least a few seconds before the sword totally went through everything. But everything help them when she actually escapes.

Tire on the Storm

Aah, the very best tradition of climbing inside a large tire and being pushed down a long hill! Most fun thing in the world and you get all of the dizziness for just a few minutes inside! According to Danish's story, it was a dare...as all great things begin as.
That poor character inside the tire!

This was some very fun work to share. If you'd like to see more, Danish-The-Menace's deviantart gallery is right here. It's worth your while!

Feature 70--TheCunningCondor

Spontania

First, I really enjoy the look this character is giving the camera. It's like she's preparing to tell the person behind it exactly what she thinks about the act that she's been told to play. TheCunningCondor shows their talent immediately with this one. And isn't it nice how they succeed in leading the eye all over the character with just the two colors?

Autumn

The pink outline on this highlights the colors pretty well, in my opinion, and I kinda like how TheCunningCondor styled this set of clothing. This set of clothing looks very much like a young adult's and flatter the design. I also like her hair! And I can't help but assume that this gal was the one who would brush everyone off and have 'no interest' in being around the main characters. XD

Pauline and Pumkin Guy

Everyone has that little (mental?) nag that pulls them both into trouble and it's shown perfectly in this drawing. XD I wonder if Pumkin guy is the little character that Pauline's mind gives the bad ideas? Because it can't at all be nice little Pauline that wants to go cause trouble, can it? If I'm wrong about that, I wonder how many people see Pumkin guy? This piece has given me so many ideas, excellent work, TheCunningCondor!

I really enjoyed sharing these pieces! If you liked these as much as I do, here is a link to TheCunningCondor's gallery so you can see more in this style.
