Feature 225--InHKnl

Mask

I really enjoy the glow at the bottom climbing up the character, as if he's being lit in the perfect way to get detail on the fabric he's wearing. And the way it goes from red to black up to a dull gray light at the top is really fun, too. I have a question about his fingers...are the things covering them a protection or more like a set of claws to use if someone got far too close?
Isn't the red inside the coat's neck glowing quite perfectly with the characters ice blue eyes? I really enjoy this piece! Excellent work!

Makima Train

The first thing I was drawn to on this image is the eyes and how the background looks as the train's just gliding along. Her eyes are gorgeous, in my opinion, and the color helps me be able to see her nose and down to her mouth; which are also quite well done. It also doesn't escape me how well the sunlight is on her hair. The color and shadows on it looks like I could just run my fingers through! (Provided she'd let me, course. She looks tired.)
Poor lady looks like she's about to fall asleep, if she could lean on that window. Either going to work or finally getting away from it, maybe? Whichever way, this piece is very well done and is just begging for a story to be told.

Whisky at the bar

Drawing this image from the hip is super well done and fits the design perfectly! I hope that it's safe enough in the area to allow someone like the woman in focus to actually enjoy her drink. (Or maybe it is safe because she's more busy enjoying her drink instead of having to deal with or create trouble?)
It would be wrong to not mention the detail on the barstools. And I wonder what else this bar sells? Just look at the boxes behind her on the shelves!
Really enjoy this piece, lovely work!

These pieces are some excellent work and I enjoyed seeing them! If you want to see more of their artwork, InHKnl's gallery is here!

Feature 215--AuntieRichie

To Birth a God

I've never played this Silent Hill but to be tracked down by some insane cult woman trying to make the player (Heather) birth the god the woman's trying to bring to life...Poor Heather! That design on the wall is interesting. Are the barbed wires trying to keep it held in place or is that woman who's chasing Heather going to be trapped by it, maybe?
The characters that AuntieRichie created for this piece look perfect for such a situation, too. Very interesting work!

The Love Witch

Fanart of 'The Love Witch'; this woman is Elaine Parks.
As the Love Witch herself, she looks like she's in the middle of casting or creating some spell or potion for someone. If this movie is as campy and silly as AuntieRichie says, it has to be amazing. The cornier is always the better in my opinion.
Lovely piece!

CyberwitcH

An interesting witch here, not having to use her body by any means. And that AuntieRichie isn't sure yet (with this image) how and what she actually behaves yet just makes me more curious. A creature that doesn't have to use her own arms but uses those robotic arms instead; can you imagine coming across her, for worse or better?

The pieces AuntieRichie chose to share for this feature are so interesting! Click here to see more of their work.

Feature 142--mlkfantasies

Mischievous Ea

I can't imagine how wild a mischievous demigoddess' could make all of her messages. Just playing with whatever she so chooses in what the people would consider space. I hope that her behavior doesn't end up with one of the planets erased...
Personally, I've been in love with what she's wearing on her forehead. Those colors match so nicely with her eyes and the hair? And look at how beautiful her lips are!

Shadow Beast

Some of the hardest fights in the world are against the shadows in one's mind. May the shadows that this warrior is battling be something she can defeat and set decisively under her feet sooner than later. And may that burst of light that she is preparing burn against these shadows as powerfully as light is normally!
Mlkfantasies mentions that this is the first time he focused on the characters in front vs playing with the background. It's clearly worked out perfectly! I love how the monster seems to have built itself from what is underneath them. And gosh, I really enjoy the reflection underneath our warrior's feet!

Study 24 - Raining

The character's name is Marcie. Doesn't she just look so exhausted with whatever is going on outside? I wonder if it's as busy as it appears in the window or is it's just the rain catching and enhancing the lights out there?
But take a look at the arm she's leaning on. I wonder if that is a gauntlet of sorts that she's wearing or if it's a replacement she had to have for some reason? It's a very well done section, just like her hair!

These three pieces were so fun to share and write about! Check out mlkfantasies' dA gallery so you can see even more of his work! Also, don't forget about his buzzly account. Both accounts have some amazing work.
