Feature 117--MomoDoesArts

Portrait of Dodol

This is such a cute cat portrait! And just look at those ears of confusion. "What was all that about?" XD Or something like that. It's certainly 100% cat. I personally love how the eyes came out. But those stripes, too, looking completely fuzzy? Makes me want to petpet this cat, if he or she would have it at all!
I wonder how long this took? It's a gorgeous piece of work.

Portrait of Machin

Another super well done painting of a cat! Love how well that white on the chest came out. And how absolutely fuzzy! I'm again in love with how the eyes look, too.
Knowing how cats can be, it had to be difficult to keep its attention like that. Then again...XD Absolutely gorgeous baby there, excellent work!

Portrait of Princesse

This cat has this little bit of offended curiosity to it. Not cooperative enough to really want to turn its head, but look how far to the side it's watching!
And just look how furry this cat has turned out! Makes me want to just cuddle this one so very much. ...probably to more offense for the cat, without doubt. But I love the painting here, amazing work!

These three pieces were absolutely amazing! Go check out MomoDoesArts' whole gallery, and please enjoy yourselves while you're there.

Distraction from Norux: Corel Painter test

Someone recently gave me a copy of Corel Painter 2021 and I've been playing with it the past little while; repainting the Field and Stream image that I posted to Art last month. Aside from not yet knowing how to throw a shadow onto anything, I'm pretty darn happy with how the picture has turned out!
Here is a comparison:

Clip Studio Paint

Corel Painter

I've not quite learned how to paint in the shadows yet, or how exactly to throw a rock or two into the stream, but using the different paint brushes in Painter is fun. And the best part about it? I can go back and forth between Clip and Painter if I want to go back to some familiar brushes for little things. (Thank goodness they both read .psd!)So! It's a very fun program to use and it's going to be great to learn more. Perhaps we will see Norux with the new toy, eventually?
