Feature 80--Zenithity

This piece is of a genderbent Beetlejuice. I really love the shading that Zenithity put on this; I think that it looks great with how the light is shining. Zenithity also did a super job on the hair, I love how lively it looks.
Great work!

A great use of charcoal on this piece, I say! That little smirk just makes me giggle each time I look at this. It's as if she's just waiting for someone to have a reaction to some smart off or something. The ear-to-eye measurement looks great and the job done on the nose is just amazing!

This is like a random capture off the street! I really love those glasses and her hair is just something else. Fits perfectly in this! Speaking of the shadows again, how do you like how Zenithity did with both the chin and the shirt? The chin cuts off perfectly with the light, in my opinion, and I like how he got the sense of size that the arm has.
Another excellent piece!

These are some awesome studies, don't you think? If you'd like to see more of Zenithity's work, his gallery is right here. Don't forget to take a look in the folders lined up at the top!

Feature 75--Angelica-Reveries

Joker Pencil portrait

Angelica-Reveries' artist comment begins with a very true quote!

“The worst part of having a mental illness is people expect you to behave as if you don’t.”
-Arthur Fleck, The Joker (2019)

And doesn't she draw him exactly like one with that opinion of people may well look? I personally love how deep she shaded his eyes to be and then shaped his nose from it. Excellent job with that! I also like how she made his hair flick out as if he doesn't care to keep it brushed; it fits perfectly with his character.
I'm also impressed with how she shades just enough to make certain pieces of this come forward, too. Like with the undershirt and collar then his coat.

She's showing her brilliant shading again! Especially on those ruffles and what do you think about the hint of light on the lips? I'm very interested in how she keeps making the noses come out like she does. It's so fun to see such good ways to build one up. And those eyes again! It's so easy to see them in the darkness around them. Lovely!

And now we get to see some color! It was added perfectly, in my opinion. The barely grown in beard is a great touch, drawn in great! He comes forward great from that background. I haven't said enough about Angelica-Reveries detail in all of these. I personally like the feathers on the right side of this character's face, they lead your eye down into the white and black 'uniform' he's wearing so well.
I also love how well these shoulders and the character's neck has come out with gray and white!

You guys have absolutely got to go to Angelica-Reveries' gallery to see even more of her work. It's not going to be a waste of time so go check everything out! ^^

Feature 48--NightriderBJ

Woman in White Charcoal
Super work for another traditional piece! Look how well NightriderBJ was able to hint toward the form. They must have a super grip on how to draw the human form when not bringing one out of the darkness. I'm utterly amazed and am so glad to be able to show these pieces here!

Woman with a Hat
Another piece that is coming out of black. I'm so jealous (as if you couldn't tell from the first feature. XD). Isn't this one fun to look at? There isn't a note to how long this one may have taken to create, but I could see a couple of days going for this. It'd be so worth the time and effort too!

Statue Study #2
In this pencil on white paper piece, NightriderBJ has decided to draw a broken statue. They've done a super job in this, I can easily see how the statue looks to have had its head lopped off. I wonder who broke this statue?
Away from the broken space, didn't the way Nightrider built up the hair and facial features look just like a statue that might have been looked at? It's like I could reach out and just grab that neck.

You should seriously check out NightriderBJ's whole gallery. There are many studies and drawings with the methods shown in these three, and I hope that they're able to create more if they're able to spend more time on the site!
