Feature 75--Angelica-Reveries

Joker Pencil portrait

Angelica-Reveries' artist comment begins with a very true quote!

“The worst part of having a mental illness is people expect you to behave as if you don’t.”
-Arthur Fleck, The Joker (2019)

And doesn't she draw him exactly like one with that opinion of people may well look? I personally love how deep she shaded his eyes to be and then shaped his nose from it. Excellent job with that! I also like how she made his hair flick out as if he doesn't care to keep it brushed; it fits perfectly with his character.
I'm also impressed with how she shades just enough to make certain pieces of this come forward, too. Like with the undershirt and collar then his coat.

She's showing her brilliant shading again! Especially on those ruffles and what do you think about the hint of light on the lips? I'm very interested in how she keeps making the noses come out like she does. It's so fun to see such good ways to build one up. And those eyes again! It's so easy to see them in the darkness around them. Lovely!

And now we get to see some color! It was added perfectly, in my opinion. The barely grown in beard is a great touch, drawn in great! He comes forward great from that background. I haven't said enough about Angelica-Reveries detail in all of these. I personally like the feathers on the right side of this character's face, they lead your eye down into the white and black 'uniform' he's wearing so well.
I also love how well these shoulders and the character's neck has come out with gray and white!

You guys have absolutely got to go to Angelica-Reveries' gallery to see even more of her work. It's not going to be a waste of time so go check everything out! ^^
