Bedroom Layout and Paprika study

Was quiet the past couple of posts, not talking about the drawing projects. So have both of them at once!

The good news about the layout sketch is that Art-of-Akrosh is going to teach me how to use Blender (a program I downloaded ages ago but never used) to get an idea of how part of the image will look in 3D!
All of this is so exciting!

Final layout

And as for my other project I've been posting about:

That girl needs a lot more work. XD Not sure that I followed the perspective for her...The fellow won't be too much worse when I finally put him on the seat instead of floating on top of it. >>; I'd wager that his clothes will be that little bit easier since the 'professional' style was...somewhat mimicked with the woman.
Gosh I need to watch Paprika sometime. Calling them by name would be a lot easier!

Edit Sep 1: Semi finished the fellow--there's plenty of work needed on those arms. But I'm thrilled to have finally gotten this far.

Sketching for the study

Reference image is on last week's post

Does anyone else find themselves absolutely frozen for a time when there's a project to do? It takes me so long to get started on something because I become convinced that things will look terrible. It's always a breath of fresh air to finally break the surface after those...
Now that the characters are posed, it's going to be fairly easy to draw them and their clothing. And since I've broken the ice this time? The study should be finished up pretty quickly...won't that be a relief.

Something else I'm excited about?
My tutor has just finished the lesson on room layouts. It's going to be really fun--on top of a great practice of how to make things look like they belong in a 3D space instead of a flat canvas.
...If I've not cheered about it enough yet, getting in touch with my tutor has been the best thing! XD

Time to do a study!

My tutor decided that I know how to do the basic shapes in perspective.  =o Now he would like me to do a study of this image:
From the film Paprika
I have to admit this is a little intimidating.
I can see the basic shapes of the chairs, I know this can be drawn at a 1pt perspective even if it's mildly a 3pt one.
But can you see all the stuff in this? Look at how those chairs come forward. Look at that little poster in the back. Then the characters.

Worry aside, if the image comes out right? This is going to be a really nice one! ...again, if I draw it right.

This is so exciting though! Wish me luck. ^^
