What I've been up to

Yeah, it's been a little while since I've shown any of my own work for the blog section. (Other than half-finished parts of anything!) ^^; For that, I apologize. To make it better, I was drawing and painting a commission for a friend!

Ziotea

Meet Ziotea, my friend's character who is dressed as Megumin. Other than Megumin being an explosions mage from an anime, I know nothing else about either subject. XD Still was great fun working with the suggested pose and the huge explosion in the background.

This picture will have been the first time I've used a gradient to make the snow's reflection work out. ...I hope that I'll remember how to use it again. It was so much easier than attempting to paint it all.
It's also either the first or second time that I've selected something with the marquee tool to quickly paint that one thing that was chosen without messing up anything in the background.
Let's hope that these two new skills will help finish up Coffee Time so I can get to the next piece! XD
