Painted Feathers |
This image is a result of one of NOORPOL's experiments, as stated in the Artist's Comments. I hope you're in agreement with me that separating the colors (primary and secondary) as they did here was super. Personally, I really love how the shading worked out in this piece. And those feathers leading the eye around the flowers are gorgeous, aren't they?
Not to mention those flowers themselves!
Outside the Fishbowl |
The last thing written underneath the picture mentions that NOORPOL was not certain about keeping the highlights on the helmet. Looking at the piece now, so long after it's been finished, I personally can't be happier that they were kept! It gives the helmet some form and makes the fish have some sense to be swimming around like they are.
On that, do you see how much detail there is in the painting? Not only the bubbles all over where the fish are stirring them up but all the light below the helmet! The fish themselves have some very well done fins as well. This is superb work and I couldn't be happier to get to feature it. ^^

You guys will really be doing yourself a disservice if you don't take the time to go through NOORPOL's gallery, if you found these three nice!
