Battle's End wip

For a "beginning of the road" sketch and flat colors, I'm enjoying how the horizon worked! Can't wait to throw some lighter color and shade on this once the characters are drawn out, too.

(Edit: I have finally cottoned onto the idea behind drawing rocks without those plain straight lines! Oh my gosh it works it works it works!!)
...

Speaking of 'drawn out' and everything, why do I torture myself with scenes like this? Aside from Valeon, there will be four characters in this scene if everything works like I want. That is 5 characters here. And since we all know by now that I can't half ass a thing once I have an idea...

Yes. I am utterly insane. And I'll drag you down the path as I walk it. XD Have fun!

My personal art is gearing back up!

Very happy with how the sketch for Battle's End is coming out.

*ahem* And if this is the first time I mentioned about 'Battle's End', hello!
I'm slowly starting up on a new sketch to finish the "Battle's Sunset" theme. A closer to nighttime scene with the characters running around to heal the injured and living instead of standing to catch a little bit of breath like Valeon was in Battle's Sunset.

The ideas at least seem to be flowing great. Let's hope that the rest of it all will do just as nicely!

New character and sketch!

Introducing what will become Nadia the Seer! (And what I'll be driving everyone crazy with. So be ready and don't claim I never warned you. XD)

It was nice to finally knock out the gesture sketch to this but it's stiff in ways that regular people often aren't. My tutor mentioned that it's probably the 3D model that lead to it this time. When he shows me how to exaggerate the pose better, that should help fix everything. So I hope, we all know that it can take me a little while to figure out how to do these things.
He did say, too, that he liked that I was trying to focus on gesture. So yay on that. ^^

Next time I draw a gesture on something I've already black lined, though, I'm going to use any other color, provided I think of it. At least it won't be so hard to pick out what I'm trying to do on a second and third look!
