Feature 20--Nenril-TF

Morrigan Aensland - REQUEST
I love how Nenril-TF painted that circle behind her in this piece, it sets Morrigan off very well and I just like trying to pick out what is in there. I see a moon and stars in all of the colors there and my eyes keep coming back to it. It's also nice to see how Morrigan seems to be pushing off from the "window"--or maybe she's just sitting on it. The pose seems to fit either idea!

The Night Has Thousand of Eyes
You have to read the artist comment in the link! Nenril-TF shows a bit of poetry by Francis William Bourdillon that was her inspiration for this piece and she explains what she was thinking as she built this piece from the beginning. In my opinion, she did a super job with this. I wonder how long it took her to make the stars come out in all of that hair? And just look at how the color transforms as your eyes go down to the bottom of the piece. Beautiful!

In Pieces
And now we're at the picture that initially drew my eyes to Nenril-TF's work. I adore her grasp on anatomy and how well both of these characters are drawn. But look at all that glass around them, it looks like two friends just shattered in some way. They've certainly broken apart for now, that's for sure. According to the artist, the little flowers are Forget-Me-Nots. Maybe the two still have a chance after some time?
This is another one of those pieces that I could go on forever about. Do yourself a favor and go to the link so you can see the full size version!
