Like always, I'm never pleased.

I have JUST set up that Wix site advertised at the side. It's exactly what I want from a site that I'd build--short and as to the point as I could.

So now, of course, since I built it from a template? I want to figure out what a good site host would be and figure out how to build one not from pure template. (Though I intend to keep the Wix site until I learn all the code needed.)

Why is it that I'm always wanting to do this to me? And I'm always convincing myself that it's NOT such a grand idea cause the site is doing exactly what I want out of it. Just tsktsk the whole way, right? XD

  1. Are you saying you want to build a webpage from scratch?

I'll be honest, I do that a fair amount, and I honestly love templates. They're great because they mean so much less work for me, and so much less worry that everything will work right. Now, admittedly, that doesn't stop me from using what knowledge I have to go looking at the code and twiddling around with the template by hand, but a site like you have on Wix? To be honest, that's beyond my ability to build from scratch.

Now, if you want to take a look at some of the pages I've built from scratch and try to use one of those as a template to build something similar of your own, I'd be happy to help to the best of my ability.

    1. All of my blogs are tweaked templates. My non-blogs are made from scratch (Satis, Perfect, Neverfall Mohawks) and can be reached from the Around the Web page on DC. I've made more than that, but those are the only three I currently have hosted anywhere.
